2nd Tarumanagara International Conference on the Applications of Technology and Engineering 2019

On behalf of the organizing committee of 2nd Tarumanagara International Conference on the Applications of Technology and Engineering (TICATE) 2019, I would like to welcome all delegates to Jakarta, Indonesia with great pleasure. Being held from November 21 to 22, 2019 at Campus I- Jl. Letjen. S. Parman No. 1, Jakarta, the international conference is organized by Universitas Tarumanagara (UNTAR) and technically sponsored by IOP Publisher.

TICATE 2019 has attracted many academicians, scientists, engineers, postgraduates and other professionals from many countries. This conference accepted 215 papers from 7 different countries, those are Australia, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, Japan, Peru and Indonesia. The aim of the conference is to promote exchange of ideas among engineers, researchers, and scientists active in the related areas of technology and engineering.

Our special thank goes to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Agustinus Purna Irawan, who has initiate this international conference, to our Plenary Speakers, Dr.-Ing. Joewono Prasetijo from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn, Malaysia, Prof. Dr. Tjokorda Gde Tirta Nindhia from Udayana University, Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Srikantappa A.S. from Cauvery Institute of Technology, India, and Prof. Dr. Mohd. The toll road is freeways to accelerate and shortening of travel time, this is due to the existing arterial road which is decrease congested, especially in weekends. Increasing density of the traffict, the car accidents occure on toll roads has increased also. One of causes of vehicle accidents on toll roads is by the lack of marking, sign, complementary buildings and poor pavement condition. This study would be discused the existing conditions of the Purbaleunyi Toll Road based on direct observation of complementary buildings, signs and marking and also in terms of pavement on toll roads. The observation data would be compared with the results of accident data from the Bina Marga that can help us to find out black area and grey area on the toll road in driver safety in terms of complementary buildings, marking, signs and pavement on toll roads.

Various factors might affect the choice of residential location. It might be transport- related or not. This paper was intended to identify factors affecting residential choice in Greater Jakarta. 102 respondents asked to complete 52 online surveys and 50 direct interviews. The questionnaires consist of 2 main parts, i.e. the general questions (gender, age, marital status, religion, job, ethnicity, educational attainment, vehicle ownership & use, and family structure) and residential choice related questions (characteristics of residential unit/environment/facility/distance and accessibility). The second part questions were responded by the respondents using 1 to 4 Likert scale from not important at all, slightly important, important and very important as a factor affecting residential choice. A one-sample t-test mean difference with 2.5 (a departure from not important to important with α=0.05. It was found that in general, Respondents perceived that in general, all observed characteristics were important to affect residential location choice except for a few exemptions.

Commonly, the manufacturing of Reactive Powder Concrete (RPC) uses a portlant cement as a binder. This research introduce a powder based concrete with an eco- friendly geopolymer binder. The production of geopolymer-powder concrete is believed as an alternative to reduce large amounts of CO2 released into the air. A geopolymer is obtained by mixing a fly ash as residual of coal burning waste with lye which is the mixture of sodium hidroxide and sodium silicate. Apart from that, glass powder is used to replace quartz powder (with similar quantity) in the manufacturing of this concrete. In producing of geopolymer-powder concrete, 4 mixed variations have been used based on the volume ratio between geopolymer and glass powder. To investigate the mechanical characteristic of geopolymer-powder concrete, several tests include compressive-, flexural-, and split-tensile strength test were conducted using a 20 cm x 10 cm cylindrical speciment and a cube of 40 cm x 10 cm x 10 cm. The test results prove that using 20% of geopolymer mixture, the specimen can achieve the compressive strength of 15, 97 MPa, flexural strength of 5, 49 MPa, and split-tensile strength of 2, 90 MPa.

In order to determine the tensile capacity of a bolted gusset plate, the Block Shear capacity often came out as the most common failure. However, in the SNI 1729-2015, it's stated on a User Note in section J4-1 that an element under tension should be checked against the Whitmore Section criterion. The analysis done in this research paper compared these two failure criteria on a few case models of a bolted gusset plate under tensile stress. The Finite Element Method, with the assistance of ABAQUS software, is used to determine the failure of the modeled cases. The results of the analysis will compare all of the gusset plate's failure criteria of the Whitmore Section, Block Shear and the Finite Element Method. This paper proposes that the Whitmore Section check is deemed unnecessary in light of Block Shear criterion which proven by the FEM as the correct failure of the plate.

The location of the Manahan railway level crossing is a meeting point for movement between trains and vehicles which often causes traffic congestion and traffic accidents in the area. In connection with the construction of the double track railway, the intensity of traffic congestion in the Manahan railway level crossing area is increasing. In order to overcome traffic congestion in the area, the Surakarta City Government built Manahan Flyover infrastructure. However, due to traffic management and engineering in the existing conditions is not optimal resulting in a relatively bad traffic congestion in Manahan Flyover area. The aim of this study is to conduct traffic management and engineering analysis to minimize traffic congestion in Manahan Flyover area. The traffic micro-simulation VISSIM model is used to evaluate the performance of road networks at peak traffic conditions with different simulation model scenarios. The existing model is built based on a field survey data and then calibrated it to approximate conditions on the field. Then based on the existing model, modelling of several traffic management and engineering scenarios are carried out to obtain the optimal performance of the road network in the Manahan Flyover area. The analysis shows that the simulation model Scenario 3 produces the best performance of road network in terms of vehicle delay, queue length, travel time and speed

The connection systems of wood structures, which are often observed in Indonesia, mainly utilize bolts or nails, whereas a similar system with bolt-ring connectors is quite rare. In fact, in other countries like U.S., Netherlands, etc., such a system is commonly implemented, especially for the constructions of wood buildings which require a large capacity or a relatively large building. To show that the system also potentially excels when used for wood materials in Indonesia, especially in comparison with the ordinary bolt connection system, several empirical tests of the connection systems with materials from Mahogany wood (Swietenia spp.) were conducted. This experiment implemented six connection systems under compressive tests in order to investigate the compressive strength behavior of bolt-ring connections compared with the bolt connections. From this study, it can be concluded that the bolt-ring connection system yields better compressive strength behavior and performance than the bolt connection system. However, if used in connections with single ring, it is necessary to be careful when they are subjected to compressive loads. It is due to the connection system which may undergo rotations which can cause the system to be unstable. If stability can be safely maintained by adding some steel plate holder; then, the system will become more superior to the simple bolt connection system, in terms of compressive strength, stiffness, and ductility.

After the construction of the building has been completed, and the operation of the building begins, a building management and maintenance is needed so that the building is maintained and can still be used properly. Therefore a management body is needed to treat and build the building properly. Management of maintenance and maintenance of office buildings and personal safety of everyone in the building, and account for the age of the building's plans. In this study, it was proven that things were agreed on the satisfaction of building users with the quality of care carried out by building managers with the questionnaire survey method, then performed an examination of the achievements of the things that were most significant, so that building user satisfaction and strategy would be obtained. building maintenance. Related to matters relating to building user satisfaction are divided into several categories that include, reliability, tangible, assurance, responsiveness, empathy, maintenance activities, and management activity. This research was conducted by converting directly to the field, interviewing, and distributing questionnaires given to building users who use the building in their daily lives. The analysis process carried out in this study is a mixed method (qualitative and quantitative) to be able to provide an accurate and systematic description of a situation and the relationships that are carried out between countries discussed. From all the collected questionnaires analyzed using the method of relative importance index (RII) through the validity and reliability test the questionnaire was analyzed with the help of statistic program (computer) to determine the level of validity variables. All data obtained from observations, interviews, and questionnaires will be used to look for service quality factors in building maintenance. The results of this study indicate the fact of the 5 highest factors in the quality of building maintenance. Of the five factors, the aspect of empathy is the highest aspect in the quality of care of this building. While aspects of maintenance activities and tangible are aspects that least meet the expectations of building users..

In order to obtain efficient design, stable and optimal with a good characteristic of quality, one of the techniques that can be convinced is called life cycle cost. Life cycle cost is a process of determining the amount of costs related to an asset, including initial costs, maintanance costs, and repair costs. It was found that both relationships were significant and positive. The purpose of life cycle cost is to get the saving cost and time efficiency, which does not rule out its function and quality. In this life cycle cost analysis, the diaphragm wall is selected to replace the soldier pile. The cost savings obtained are 23% of the initial cost of the soldier pile's retaining wall work. The process of diaphragm wall is a lot faster 2-3 times than the work of soldier pile retaining wall. Based on the results of the initial costs and maintanance costs, it can be interpreted that the method of diaphragm wall can allow much greater savings than using the soldier pile retaining wall method.

Processing using alga reactor was made one of the solutions in wastewater treatment. Symbiotic relationship of Algal-bacteria increases the potency of processing wastewater. These capabilities can be enhanced by compounding CO2 in photosynthesis in processing wastewater. WET (Whole Effluent Toxicity) testing is needed to monitor the effects of toxicity of algae reactor. The research was carried out using waste of Water Waste Management Installations in Sewon, Yogyakarta with supplying 0.2 L/min and 0.5 L/min of CO2. This research aims to know the LC50 and analyze the characteristic relationship of waste water as the results of algae reactor process. Acute toxicity test is performed with a static method within 24 hours using animal test Daphnia sp. on day 1, 6 and 13. Based on the analysis of the characteristics of waste are known that DO, pH, temperature, light intensity strongly influenced the death of Daphnia sp. Based on the results of the analysis of algae-bacteria, the best result came with the addition of CO2 amounting to 0.2 L/min. While the worst occurred at reactor Algae.

This concrete maintenance procedure is very difficult to carry out in the field or construction project, because of the influence of the volume of concrete in a large field, also very high mobility. The purpose of this study is to analyze maintenance-based concrete quality control in construction projects that are in accordance with SNI-2493-2011 standards. The research method carried out by the experimental method, the test object used was cylindrical with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm, with fc 25 MPa plan. The treatment method is to cover the concrete using wet "goni‟ sacks and sprinkling the concrete using water, with variations of treatments for 1 day, 3 days and 7 days such as the time of treatment in the construction project. as a concrete quality control with a method of soaking concrete for 28 days according to SNI-2493-2011. Test Results The value of concrete compressive strength that reaches only concrete control compressive strength of 25.97 MPa or greater than f'c of 3.88% and for the treatment method in the field no one reaches the plan compressive strength value. However, from the treatment method in the field, the optimum compressive strength is the maintenance method to cover concrete with "goni‟ sacks for 7 days at 24.11 MPa. In general, concrete treated in the field with a maintenance method closes the concrete using "goni‟ sacks the compressive strength value is higher than the concrete sprinkling treatment method.

The undrained shear strength of fine-grained soils is an important property in geotechnical engineering. However, the process of determining undrained shear strength can be challenging. Hence, the correlation of undrained shear strength with other soil properties needs to be established. Several studies have estimated undrained shear strength using the liquidity index. In the current study, we aim to find the best correlation of undrained shear strength and liquidity index of fine-grained soils in West Java, Indonesia at various water contents using the form of correlation of undrained shear strength and liquidity index and also factors influencing the undrained shear strength. The values of undrained shear strength and liquidity index are obtained by laboratory test and data collection from previous studies of soils in West Java. Results show a good linear relationship between the logarithmic value of undrained shear strength and liquidity index for 173 variations of soil samples. We also can conclude that the undrained shear strength of fine-grained soils is controlled by the proportion of finer grains presence and also the plasticity of the soils.

Most soil classification systems developed for geotechnical engineering purposes are based on simple index properties such as grain size distribution and plasticity. In Indonesia, the use of the methylene blue value, VBS, is still rarely used, compared to Atterberg limits that commonly used to determine the value of the plasticity index, PI. Therefore, this study aims to gain a correlation between PI and VBS. Coarse-grained soil with fines (clay and silt) contents varies from 12.36% to 29.45% are used of this study. The linear correlation between PI and VBS produces a linear equation with a coefficient of determination, R2 = 0.854 for 0.62 < VBS < 2.39. The PI obtained from the correlation to VBS that combined with the sieve analysis results can then be used for soil classification based on the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS).

Jos Orno Imsula MOA Airport is a SATPEL class airport. This airport is a potential services airport. Jos Orno Imsula MOA airport has an existing runway with the dimensions of 1400 m x 30 m, with azimuth direction 10 – 28, and 60 cm pavement thickness. This study aim to redesign the geometric and pavement thickness of runway. The methods used in this study are Aeroplane Reference Field Length (ARFL) method for calculating the length of the runway, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) method for calculating the pavement thickness of runway. The analysis shows that the dimension of runway required is 1260 x 30 m, and the pavement thickess required is 45 cm.

Nowadays, Coagulation-flocculation process is still common method were used in both large and small scale in wastewater treatment. It's process an effective method as pretreatment. Flocculant (natural aid) can use many material is an important factors for coagulation-flocculation process. Many materials were used for coagulant-flocculant aid, but typically can be divided into chemical, grafted and or natural aid. Chemical flocculant was made from monomers formed to electrolytes polymers, that is cationic polymers, anionic polymers or non-ionic polymers, such as polyacrylamide have been widely used for decades. Grafted flocculants were synthesized by combining the properties of polymers, both synthetic and natural by 'connect to' method, such as Polydiallyldimethylammonium chloride (polyDADMAC or polyDDA). Whereas natural flocculant can be derived from seed of plantago, ovata, moringa, olifiera, etc. Some natural starch can be used as natural aid also. The main advantages of natural flocculant are their renewability, biodegradability, nontoxicity and relative costeffectiveness. but for development in the future constrained by some challanges, Natural flocculant tend to have shorter live which caused by biodegradability of active component, floc will loose. Besides that, chemical flocculants are used because of their easy use. However, in many studies, the usage of chemical flocculant will have an important environmental impact, such as, producing toxic sludge containing metal hydroxides which causes problems with their disposal and increasing metal concentrations (eg aluminum) which can have an impact on the sustainability of human health. This paper will review some chemical flocculant and natural flocculant also tell about environmental affect, both disadvantages and potential which is better used to wastewater treatment.

Along with the process of globalization, information technology has become an inseparable part of the world of construction services. However, the use of information technology in the field of construction management is not as popular as compared to construction planning especially in the process of project monitoring and evaluation. The contractor must have an integrated information system to be able to support the process of monitoring and evaluation that is true and right so that objectives can be achieved according to plan. PT. XYZ is a contractor that creates an integrated software-based information system called Opex Pro that is used to support project monitoring and evaluation. Opex Pro is used on smartphones and has been implemented for a number of years, but the benefits and positive effects have yet to be measured. This study aims to identify components and analyze the benefits of implementing the Opex Pro application as a means of project monitoring and evaluation. The scope of the problems in this study is limited to the application of the Opex Pro Application in the Building Division of PT. XYZ with a sample project manager. Literature review is focused on construction management, information technology in the world of construction, project monitoring and evaluation, and management of construction resources. The quantitative approach was chosen as the research method and analysis was carried out on all selected samples. It is expected that the application of the Opex Pro application can have a positive impact on the project monitoring and evaluation process at PT. XYZ continuously.

Acne Vulgaris (AV) is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects 85% of the population at least once throughout their lives. The pathogenesis of AV including hypercolonization in pilosebaseous glands by P. acnes. Effective and efficient acne therapeutics including topical acne medications remain a crucial aspect of acne research. The lime peel essential oil contains triterpenoid steroid and has antibacterial effect against P. acnes. Chitosan is a natural material produced by deacetylyation of chitin from crustacean exoskeleton. Being biocompatible, biodegradable, and affordable, chitosan is widely explored in biomedical field as active agent or drug carrier. In this study, the lime peel essential oil was encapsulated into chitosan nanoparticle through ionotropic gelation technique to be formulated into topical acne cream preparation. The aim of this study was to evaluate and to compare the efficacy of encapsulated and non encapsulated lime peel essential oil into chitosan nanoparticle in inhibiting P. acnes. The inhibition zone of P. acnes which known as non-growth area after exposure to lime peel essential oil encapsulated into chitosan nanoparticle was calculated. The result showed chitosan nanoparticle formula led to an inhibitory zone of 20, 61 mm in diameter, while non-encapsulated formula only led to 10-20 mm. Result led to conclusion that chitosan nanoparticle encapsulation formulation led to improved P. acnes inhibitory activity of lime peel essential oil.

Based on research issues regarding the implementation of hospital building technical standards that are often ignored, especially from the quality control process so that there is no improvement in quality, the research problems that will be resolved are analyzing the understanding and indicators regarding; quality control management, and the application of technical standards in class C hospital buildings. This study examines the main aspects of quality control management, quality control circles, and PDCA Cycles (plans, actions, checks, actions) as a program in the implementation of factors that affect quality control management. Applying the technical standard of class C hospital buildings was assessed based on the provisions of the ministry of health. As a consideration of this research examines the portrait of the project under study, which is a case study of Class C Hospital in Tangerang Districts and highlights relevant research results in the past 10 years. Qualitative methods sourced from secondary data will be used to study understanding and indicators in discussing research problems. In the results of this study it can be concluded that the factors of quality control management can hinder the application of hospital building technical standards so that it can affect the quality of the building which has an impact on the comfort and safety of building users. This research produces answers to research problems that will provide recommendations for improvement for service users so that it can have a positive impact on the implementation of the project.

Development in economy in Jakarta can be an opportunity to build residence and office building. It can increase a better profits. To build a building, a good management are needed in every step in construction from implementation, cost, time and quality, till building maintenance. One of concern in construction project was finance management. The benchmark for construction project success is satisfaction from owner and impact to the environment. Lack of material suply in a project can be deficit for the owner or the contractor. This research identified few factors and variables in supply chain that can affected financing management construction project in DKI Jakarta and identify efficiency for using supply chain that can affected to cost management. This research uses many literature and previous relevant research in focus on supply chain, financing management project for building in Jakarta, efficiency for supply chain to financial management, and other previous research for last 10 years. Financial management project can be assumed that some process to ensure that project can be finished in aproved estimation of cost. This research is using qualitative and quantitative method. This research uses primary and secondary data. We can identify a supply chain factor and financial management project for completed this project.

Using cardboard as packaging protects the product from damage while at the same time improving its appearance to attract the attention of customers. The packaging company, PT. XYZ, works manually without using machines or tools. As a result, inefficiencies tend to occur because workers waste time and energy. It also has the potential to cause extreme fatigue and workplace accidents. This research is a field of ergonomics research, the aim is to understand the physical complaints of workers, the work sequence of workers, to then design a helper tool and finally evaluate the work posture of workers, before and after repairs. To improve workers 'conditions, researchers collected workers' identities and analyzed their physical complaints using questionnaires, including Nordic Body Map, REBA analysis, OWAS analysis, MFA analysis, and measurement of right and left hand maps in standard time. We also identified workers' needs, initial specifications to conceptualize the design of assistive devices. We obtain the design concept by determining the final specifications and checking the data using CATIA software. The final REBA score after applying the helper press yields a score of 3 on pressing and folding cartons. Improvements also managed to eliminate lifting and lowering activities during the finishing process. Analysis result of the working conditions before and after implementation are as follows; cycle time decreased from 320.23 to 275 seconds (14.12%), normal time decreased from 336.24 to 299.75 seconds (11%), and standard time dropped from 437.11 to 374.69 seconds (14, 3%).

Run off is one of the most important hydrological variables in supporting water resources development planning and activities. To predict the amount of runoff can be done in various ways one of them with the SCS-CN method. The SCS method was developed from years of rainfall observation and involved many agricultural areas in the United States. This method seeks to link watershed characteristics such as soil, vegetation, and land use with a runoff curve number which indicates the potential runoff water for a particular rainfall. The location of this research is Garut Regency, upstream of the Cimanuk river, which often floods every year due to overflowing of the Cimanuk River. Data used to determine CN values and runoff height are Digital Elevation Model (DEM), land use, soil, and rainfall data for the last 10 years, from 2009 to 2018, then the maps are processed using the Arc-Map program. From the analysis it can be seen that the CN value is 66.54%, and the runoff height is 1.17 cm with a 2 year return period, and 2.84 cm at 25 return period. Based on the CN value, it is known that the type of soil in the upstream Cimanuk watershed has a small infiltration rate and has bad properties in infiltrating water, so that it can cause run off for a long time, because the smaller CN value on a land use, so soil's retention ability is greater and the less chance of runoff. The results of this study can be used for planning flood control buildings in the upper Cimanuk watershed.

This paper provides preliminary discourse on buzz words about Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0. This discourse focuses on the lens of Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) and Machine Learning of Artificial Intelligence (MLAI). To some extent several companies have embarked Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 within Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Through the wave of IoT Technology, Industries are adopting automated machinery. Predictive maintenance (PM) is indispensable not only toward the machines" vitality and longevity purpose, but also toward the human error reduction. This paper elaborates its discourse of Industry 4.0 and Society through the lens of CBM and MLAI. The mentioned Machine Learning, in this paper, refers to research methodology, as methodological frameworks. Those frameworks comprise several phases, which are: 1. Equipment Analysis; 2. Data Evaluation; 3. Data Selection and Process; 4. Modeling; 5. Decision Support Model Evaluation. The MLAI techniques are based upon the identification of behaviour patterns. This identification comprises datasets that exclude mathematical models or prior historical knowledge. The discourse in this paper intertwines CBM process and MLAI through data cleaning and processing, features stratification and extraction, model stratification and validation. This paper elaborates two renowned maintenance approaches which are preventive and corrective maintenance. Discourse in this paper focuses on corrective action, known as predictive maintenance (PM), or condition based maintenance (CBM) within Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM). CBM is chosen as the most desirable strategy, as it involves the intervention as the consequence of the machine breakdown. It also provides cost savings toward spare parts consumption, and optimizes production.

Population growth and uncontrolled use of vehicles result in changes in traffic behaviours. This has an impact on the validity of the IHCM 1997 model results when replicating traffic in the real conditions. This study aims to carry out calibration and validation IHCM 1997 signalised intersection model. Case studies are conducted at eleven signalized intersection locations in the Surakarta city. The results of study show that the IHCM 1997 method default values are not relevant to the current conditions. The traffic parameters that need to be changed in the IHCM 1997 model are passenger car equivalent (PCE) and base saturation flow (S0).

Impervious surface is an area that has undergone natural or semi-natural substitution of artificial land cover which is usually waterproof and relatively permanent, including settlements, industrial buildings, road networks, railroad networks, high voltage electricity networks, airports air and sea ports. Changes cause the narrowing of rivers and open land which become water catchment areas. One of the problems that triggered an increase in impervious land is urbanization. This study aims to map land changes in the Jakarta and surrounding areas using the least median of squares regression method. Based on data from land classification results using 4 classes, Jakarta and Tangerang are areas that have more impervious land than non-impervious land. Meanwhile, Bogor, Bekasi, and Depok are areas that have more non-impervious land

The Multi Purpose Terminal and Supporting Facility Development Project in Kuala Tanjung in the stage of sea side construction work was experiencing delays and claims for added costs. Inaccurate project cost management will negatively impact the project implementation process. Therefore a risk analysis of project implementation costs is needed so that it can be used as a basis for risk mitigation. The objectives of this research are to identify risks and analyze cost risks in influencing project performance. By using a quantitative method of analysis conducted on 31 cost risk variables by distributing questionnaires to 43 respondents. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion by using of a statistical software program, it was found that the five most dominant risk cost variables affected the project performance of the Construction of the Multi Purpose Terminal and Supporting Facilities in Kuala Tanjung, namely: the mismatch of planning drawings and field conditions, redesign, miss projecting cost flows, material selection is not right and temporary termination of work. Recommendations for improvement of the 5 variables that affect project performance are by comprehensively anticipating tender documents and field conditions.

The roof shape can affect to the construction and installation of a roof garden. The research is a roof garden type that can be adapted to the most used roof on the area. The method is to design, build and install the roof garden on sloping shape roofs type. By watering the roof garden, we get the result of minimum runoff according to soil condition. The water maximum infiltrated to soil and the percentage of runoff that occurs is 22% from total water. The conclusion of this research is the roof garden influences the surface runoff; this cause positive impact on reducing rainwater runoff.

As part of traffic management, Yellow Box Junction must be optimized because this marking must take precedence over APILL in traffic congestion at the intersection. The crossing performance with YBJ does have a high degree of saturation, especially from the north at Jl. Ir Sukarno - Jl. Dharmawangsa and from the west at the junction of Jl. Adityawarman - Jl. Kutai Violations against YBJ were dominated by motorbikes (90%) in terms of forcing them to enter YBJ when there were still vehicles from other approaches namely 399 vehicles/hour. Most motorists have seen the yellow square markings at the YBJ junction (75% LV, 67% MC), few know that the mark is YBJ (44% LV, 28% MC) and most respondents do not know the meaning and function that YBJ can decipher traffic jam at the intersection. Only a few respondents have ever listened to or seen a socialization about YBJ, so it is necessary to find an appropriate formula for socialization to road users.

Design process is done by initially searching for customer feedback through survey, then selecting materials used in the concept, adjusting the specifications of the concepts and creating a 3D model of the designs. The design of the adjustable handlebar of the motorcycle is created by using Aluminium Alloy 7075 as the primary material, and uses a railing design to grant parallel movement to the handlebar. Results of the concept designing process includes the 3D model of an adjustable handlebar, in which concept could be used in further design processes.

Portable concrete pump is a tool used to pump concrete towards casting locations especially when the locations could not be reach by truck mixers. By using portable concrete pumps, concreting process can be finished quicker. This study begin with elaborating information about factors affecting the concreting process such as equipment and machinery for pumping, standard procedures for placing concrete and other requirements. The relation between productivity of portable concrete pumps and horizontal range, as well as the height of the casting location, is derived from project observation and data collection. Further calculation and analysis shows the regression equation for portable concrete pump productivity is obtained as Y = 1.0546 – 0.00351 X1–0.00181X2 with X1 is floor height and X2 is horizontal range. The difference in productivity during productive time and total time that is affected by delays is 0, 044 m3/min or the effect of delay time to concreting productivity is 8.7% compare to productive time.

After 20 years there has been a change in traffic from the number and composition, as well as the traffic regulation policy. As a result of this, the determination of IHCM's road capacity is often incorrect. Therefore it is necessary to evaluate IHCM. This study tries to evaluate IHCM through side friction factors, as one of the factors that determine the value of road capacity. Research is limited to evaluating the weight of each side friction factor and the effect of land use from the survey results using statistical analysis. From the analysis, it is found that the conditions for the use of shops, office and campus are in the category of high and low of side friction factor and the ranking of the relative weights of the side friction factors in IHCM is quite different.

Kapuas River is a river with a high level of sedimentation. In the process of sedimentation, one of the factors that determines the sedimentation time is the sediment settling velocity. Estimation of effective sediment deposition time could be calculated by collecting the sediment settling velocity data. A thorough laboratory research is needed to determine the value of sediment settling velocity. The analysis from the field and laboratory research showed that sediment settling velocity is related to salinity, sediment concentration, water depth, and flow velocity. This study focuses on the relationship between sediment concentration and sediment settling velocity. Laboratory research was conducted using variations of sediment concentration. The research showed that maximum sediment settling velocity with the value of 0.4133 mm/s is obtained from concentration sediment of 9380.75 ppm. Moreover, the sedimentation process will be formed faster as the sediment settling velocity increases.

The Saolat and Waijoi areas are water prone areas in the East Halamahera region which are inhabited by 2, 979 people who still have problems in the supply of drinking water. Potential surface water that meets drinking water quality standards is quite far, which is more than 10 km. Groundwater potential is the expected potential, but requires further study. Research on the potential of groundwater is carried out with a hydrological study of groundwater recharge needs to be done, so that groundwater uptake does not disturb the water balance in the ground. Meanwhile, to find out the potential groundwater point, geoelectricity is used to determine the predicted point which is predicted the groundwater potential is available. The area of blood catchment in the Saolat and Waijoi areas is 71, 108, 366 m² with a total built area of 1, 202, 747 m². Precipitation is 187.92 mm / month with infiltration of 143.99 mm / year and groundwater recharge of 318 liters / second. This groundwater potential is very sufficient to meet the drinking water needs which until the projected of 2.038 is 7.33 liters / second.

Crust formation is a complex problem and always occurs in piping systems, both in oil piping systems, industry, and water distribution. When the crust is formed on the pipe, it will cause the pipe diameter to shrink and inhibit the flow of fluid in the pipe system. If the pipe has a problem, its temperature and pressure will be higher, increasing the possibility of the pipe to break and get damaged. This study aims to determine the formation of PDAM water pipe scale in Bandar Lampung with the Langelier Saturation Index Method. Based on the LSI calculation results, a value of -0.9 is obtained. This indicates that the corrosion rate is high, but there is no visible potential for scale formation. Formation of corrosion in the pipe can cause the pipe wall to thin out thereby increasing the potential for pipe leakage. Due to this, the checking of the pipes is necessary. Potential leakage of pipes will disrupt the distribution system and reduce service levels of PDAM Bandar Lampung City. Increasing the value of LSI in water can increase the pH of each water source. Increasing the pH will cause an increase in the value of LSI so that it is in neutral conditions and the level of corrosivity decreases. In addition, the flow velocity of water needs to be maintained with a minimum speed of 0.3 m/s to prevent the formation of scale on the pipes.

The effect of global warming is quite disturbing activities of human life, one of which is in the case of drying clothes. Then an automatic clothes dryer cabinet was made with Wi-Fi transmission media making it easier for humans to find out information in the cabinetremotely using a smartphone. The system starts when the voltage supply is turned on and the fan turns on and the other system is in standby. When the clothes are in the cabinet, the heater will turn on and the microcontroller will send information about the situation in the cabinet. The heater will turn off when it has reached the set temperature to prevent excess heat in the cabinet. Clothing weight information will appear on the smartphone through the application, if the weight of the clothes has reached <190 grams, then the clothes notification will appear dry and turn off the system on the application. The weight sensor has a role to activate the digital thermostat which has a temperature sensor to disconnect and connect the power to the heater.

Genetic algorithm can be used for searching the optimum centroid for clustering images. Images that used in this study is beach images, city images, traditional market images, and garden images. Based on the research result genetic algorithm with tournament selection and uniform crossover can be used for clustering images but there is some outlier in formed cluster. Based on trial the best parameters for image clustering with genetic algorithm with tournament selection and uniform crossover is population=200, iteration=200, and number of cluster=2. Fitness value on genetic algorithm is increase when population and iteration value are higher. The result of this study can be used as a reference in the development of images clustering.

Indonesia is a country that has a huge potential of solar radiation energy since it is located in the equator. This causes Indonesia to have a tropical climate and receives almost the same emission of solar radiation throughout the year. National average solar energy potential is 16 MJ/day. This energy potential can be used as a source of thermal energy. To improve the energy potential, a research performance is done by using double thermal insulation solar collectors so that the energy can be received optimally. One alternative that is used is adding Styrofoam and Polyurethane which are installed on all sides of the collector except the upper side. Styrofoam and Polyurethane have 3 cm thickness and low thermal conductivity value therefore it is able to isolate the energy inside the solar collector. This experiment was done in a day with energy coming at the test reached 8,798,634 j/m2 with 69% efficiency level.

This research is aimed to increase the condensation rate of the Vacuum Desalination System by adding 20 twisted fins on the condenser. On the first day, by comparing energy before and after using fins, it was found that the fins effectivity was improved by 119 J, whether on the second day is improved by 101 J. The condensation rate is obtained on the first day at 8.00 in Western Indonesia Time with only 0.000102 kg/s, while the rate reached the top at 12:28 Western Indonesia Time with 0.000233 kg/s. The average experiment for one day is 0.000171 kg/s. On the second day the condensation rate at 8.00 Western Indonesia Time is about 0.000101 kg/s with highest condensate rate at 12.22 Western Indonesia Time with 0.000231 kg/s. The average condensate rate for the second day is 0.000159 kg/s. The result indicates that the first day produced 1.27 L/day freshwater whether on the second day produced 1.47 L/day.

Dry land is one of the agro-ecosystems that has great potential. From the wide potential of dry lands in Indonesia (especially in Tanimbar Island Regency, Maluku Province), it is classified as quite high, but there are problems with water availability and socio-economic. One of the potential irrigation areas in Kandar sub-district because it does not yet have an appropriate irrigation system, and because of the limited rainfall in Kandar makes it a suitable place for an irrigation in the dry land. To analyze the proper irrigation network in the Kandar irrigation area, primary and secondary data were collected. From the data collected then analyzed, we obtained water balance in the Kandar irrigation area with two cropping patterns, namely: Corn-Peanut-Nutmeg and Corn-Corn-Peanuts experienced surplus from January-June and deficit in July-December. From the irrigation area of 1101.23 ha, the area is divided into 5 plots in accordance with the standard. After that, an overall water requirement of 0.616 l/sec is calculated, which means Weslyeta Irrigation System is sufficient for irrigation. Then we calculate the dimensions of the required canal and building dimensions, and we obtained the length of the primary canal is 3383m and the length of the secondary canal is 3053m.

The empirical method, a method developed from experiments or experience, has historically been the usual planning method used in Indonesia for designing flexible pavement thickness. The newest pavement design manual in Indonesia, Bina Marga 04/SE/Db/2017 has introduced the mechanistic method, based on pavement responses such as strain, deflection, and stress. Research was conducted to evaluate the design chart in the manual with KENPAVE program assistance in order to know the mechanistic response for the cement-treated base (CTB) foundation. The loadings for 100%, 150%, and 200% are used to know pavement response to loading variations. Vertical and horizontal strain were reviewed as mechanistic responses. Vertical strain was used to analyse rutting, and horizontal strain was used to analyse fatigue. The research shows that as the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) value increases, the smaller the vertical strain value becomes. However, this was not the case with horizontal strain where the CBR value did not seem to influence the horizontal strain value. The added loading will increase pressure on the pavement so that compressive and tensile strains on the pavement will be higher.

By the result of wet process, stability value of 7% HDPE increased up to 38.08% and 8% LDPE content increased up to 22.03% and for the dry process, 9% HDPE and 11% LDPE increase the stability value up to 24.61% and 19.30% respectively. The use of HDPE or LDPE can increase stability of asphalt concrete mixing both in dry and wet process. We can use up to 8.7 ton of plastic waste into 1 km of 7-meter-wide asphalt pavement road.

The study aims are to analyze the performance of Online-taxi focusing on the minimum service standard aspect and to define the model of online-taxi service quality performance and passenger satisfaction relationship. A research approach is a quantitative approach with Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) was used to understand the user perception on the performance of online-taxi and Linear Regression Analysis was used to analyze the model of online-taxi service quality and passenger satisfaction relationship online-taxi (GRAB-CAR and GO-CAR) in Surabaya city, Indonesia. The number of respondents for this study is 200, there are 23 items of Online-taxi service quality and five service quality dimensions. Concluded from Importance Performance Analysis the result shows that driver identity that installed at the car dashboard same as a mobile app and the facility for disabled, elderly, pregnant women or baby chair are the items that need to improve. Linear regression found that tangible is the most positive and significant dimension influencing the online-taxi passenger satisfaction.

This paper introduces a method of value engineering analysis by calculating the value coefficient of the substructure work in an office building project. Value coefficient is obtained by dividing the performance coefficient with cost coefficient, whose result shows that the retaining wall system is the main object to be developed. The retaining wall system used in the initial design is soldier pile consisting of rows of 80 cm diameter bored pile with a one-meter center to center spacing, which in each gap between two adjacent bored piles, a 40 cm diameter bentonite pile was constructed. The construction cost of the substructure generated from the initial design is Rp. 35,554,793,500.00. After implementing VE analysis, the VE team chose spun piles with 60 cm diameter (without bentonite piles) with 70 cm center to center spacing as a substitute for the initial design. The assessment performed by the VE team about the performance of the alternative indicates that there is 20.6% increase of performance compared to initial design and cost savings of 17.75%, resulting in a value coefficient of 1.22, this result is 47% higher than the initial design has, which is 0.83.

Shear wall frame buildings are commonly used in buildings ranging from about 8 to about 30 stories. Shear walls may be simple planar walls, several wall segments commonly are connected to act as a three-dimensional unit, then may enclose spaces in buildings, such as stairs, wells or elevator shaft. In this case, 18 story building with shear wall as planar has been analyzed. The portion of frame is less than 25 % as required in Indonesian standard there are 11.64% in X direction and 12.12 % in Y direction, so the results are compared with the condition if shear wall is released, hence, only boundary elements are placed and taken the maximum value by giving 25 % earthquake load. In the 100 % base shear acting on structure the value of column shear force has greater value at the bottom story of column than if shear wall is released and only 25 % base shear is given. The value of shear force at shear wall in the bottom story is greater in the bottom because there is void in that area. The portion of frame is less than 25 % as greater in the bottom because there is void in that area, so the greater shear force in the story is obtained. As the result, at the lower story the correction of scale factor less than one factor for all story can give the economical design.

Preliminary cost is a support cost that needs to be done so that the construction project can run well, but costs tend to experience an increase from the planned cost that has been determined to the final cost. Preliminary cost affects profits or losses of a construction project, therefore this study is essential so it can be known the reference for preliminary cost and cause of cost overruns, which items that give a high contribution to the preliminary cost, and the relationship between preliminary cost and profit at company XYZ. At Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Papua, the actual preliminaries cost occurs by 215%, 114%, and 188% from the planned cost, thus the cost overruns happened. The cause of this cost overruns can occur because of lack of skill of the estimator for estimating and planning about cost, duration, equipment and tools, miss implementation of method statement, lack of information about the project, incomplete design, and unaquired land. The component of the preliminary cost is vary based on its location. This analysis is necessary because it can show which items are influential and contribute a large proportion to the overall preliminary so that more attention is given to those items. The preliminary cost has a contradict relationship to profit, if the preliminary cost is increased, the profit will be decreased.

Composite materials are widely used in many industries today because of its properties. Some of the unique properties are corrosion resistance, high stiffness, strength and strength to weight ratio. Most of the metal exhibit the same properties but when weight plays a pivotal role, composites are suitable. In the current study, glass, coir, epoxy and MoS2 are used as materials. Fabrication of composites were done using vacuum assisted hand lay-up method. After fabrication, different experiments were performed to study the tribological behaviour of hybrid composites using ASTM Standards. From the experimental study, it is clear that composites with fillers played a pivotal role when compared with unfilled one. Filler percentage were varied between 0-6%. Significant improvement was observed after adding the filler. Hybrid composites with filler showed better wear and frictional resistance when compared with unfilled one. Artificial neural network method was also employed for validation. From ANN, it was clear that, experimental results were mapped with the output of ANN.

Pump as turbine is one of the options for low-cost and simple electric power generation that suitable for rural area. Pump as turbine facing the same problem as any other hydropower plant which is low efficiency. Researchers focus on modification of the impeller, such as rounding, trimming, and surface smoothing. Most of the modified impeller was closed impeller type. The objective of this research was to investigate the possibility to generate more electric power of a PAT by using semi-open impeller. Simulation analysis was performed to analyze fluid flow in the pump housing. The simulation result shows the fluid velocity for open, semi-open and closed impeller is 646.87, 641.76, 639.89 m/s, respectively. The pressure of each open, semi-open and closed impeller is approximately 356, 361, and 388 kPa, respectively. The conclusion is that the open impeller had a higher velocity and lower pressure among two others. In the experimental testing, a semi-open impeller was selected because it had more strength and rigid body when it encountered the water impact. Three semi-open impellers with a blade thickness of 2, 4 and 6 mm made of brass were manufactured and tested. A close impeller which is the original impeller of the pump was also tested as a comparison. It is found that the open impeller with 2 mm blade thickness generated more electric power, approximately 36% than the original impeller.

In this research, FEM simulation was created butt joint with weld filler 3D-solid geometry. The assigned substrate element type is created and modeled on a 9 mm thickness. The three-passes of butt joint was undergoing with using the MSC Marc / Mentat student version simulation and simufact welding simulation. The butt joint designed with three passes which are penetration, filler pass and the capping for both simulations. Thermo-mechanical FEM simulations using MSC Marc / Mentat student version and simufact welding are implemented throughout the analysis. The preferred heat source model is an ellipsoid Goldak normally used for arc welding processes and weld path process in one direction. The temperature distribution caused by the welding process on the specimens must be analyzed with the same clamping conditions and the same load. Both simulations were collecting the temperature distribution to observe the calibration of software. From the results of the temperature distribution, which simulation can be assessed which is more accurate. But to be more accurate in comparing it, the two simulations must be compared directly with the experimental, with the similar material, dimensions, and welding parameters.

Swirling flow at recirculation zone of backward-facing step (BFS) geometry undoubtly affected by Reynolds number since it is involving rotational vortices. This flow behavior can be represented by flow intensity and reattachment length inside the geometry. BFS geometry is chosen for it is well-known characteristics visualizing swiriling flow that occur in many industrial application. Unfortunately, experimental method for visualizing rotational vortices over a BFS geometry oftenly involve advance technology including the image capturing devices. CFD method is use in this research for computionally visualize respected flows with Reynolds number variation with lower cost. The model is 3 dimensional with Step height (h) = 41mm, upstream height (H) = 81mm, expansion ratio = 1.5, total length (L) = 4050 mm and width = 20h. The mesh is triangular with 90.293 nodes. Reynolds numbers varied to Re = 4290.39; 6673.94; 7614.23; and 9287.29 which gained from experimental data. The working fluid is single phase air, with inlet and outlet temperature also gained from experimental data. The initial fluid temperature at inlet and outlet are 28.4°C and 28.8°C; 27.3°C and 28.6°C; 26.2°C and 28.3°C; 28.7°C and 29.8°C for respected Reynolds number variation. The flow condition is assumed transient with time step set of 1 and simulation is done with STD k-ε turbulence model. Highest Reynolds number variation reattached at reattachment / step height X/h = 6.82, compared to Re = 4290.39 with X/h = 11.71. CFD simulation results show that eddies inside the vortices and the X/h affected by floe velocity and so on with the flow temperature.

This work is intended to compare the SEVNB and the SCF methods for fracture toughness testing. Both of the test methods are applied to a silicon nitride. Both methods are standardized and both have some minor shortcomings with respect to practicability and match of the theoretical description of the test situation with the actual test situation. SEVNB is easy to perform, but uses a notch of known depth (+ small micro-cracks of unknown size in front of a notch) instead of a crack, SCF uses a presumably residual stress-free indentation crack which is sometimes difficult to measure, not always semi-elliptical, as assumed to apply the evaluation formula, and may be accompanied by lateral cracks. Both methods will be analysed with respect to possible experimental errors. Variations of the SCF method are applied in order to examine how pre-cracks can be introduced which can be detected on the fracture surface. The geometry of the SCF-pre-crack is varied by applying different loads and by removing different amounts of material. The geometry of the Knoop pre-cracks system is investigated. The results help to identify conditions under which the SCF method can be used successfully to measure the fracture toughness of silicon nitride ceramics.

The aim of this research is to find out the effect of the angle configuration on the flexural properties of the three-layer laminate bamboo composite. The type of matrix material and reinforcement used in this research are epoxy polymer resin and Apus bamboo woven with plain woven type. The bamboo composite angle configuration consists of 00, 450, 900 with laminate variation 00/00/00; 00/450/00; 00/900/00. Flexural testing with specimen size follows ASTM D7264/D7264M.07 standards. From the results of the tests, it can be concluded as follows: Flexural strength for orientation angle 00/00/00, value 47.31 ± 1.21 MPa, orientation angle 00/450/00, value 38.20 ± 1.33 MPa, orientation angle 00/900/00 value 41.03 ± 2.12 MPa.

In this paper, the mechanical properties of composite materials are subjected to statistical analysis. This study aimed to determine the value of B-Basis strength parameters of carbon composite material with UD-00, UD-900, fabric-00, fabric-900 from the results of tensile and compression tests. The maximum normal residual test was used for outlier identification and k-sample Anderson's darling test to determine whether parameters can be processed as one large group of data. The scope of this study focused on evaluating B-Basis values using two methods: Weibull and ANOVA. The results showed that Weibull distribution method could be applied to analysis the data and produced a confidence level of 95%. ANOVA method however, could not be applied to specific data which were the tensile strength of UD 00 with a non-tabbing treatment. This was due to the inhomogeneous of the data.

Composite material is gaining acceptance for protective structures against explosion, such as granade explosion. This is due to its ligh tness and high strength. In this paper, the response of composite plate subjected to granade explosion was studied experimentally. The composite plate was made of glass and carbon fiber with different number of plies and lay-up. The plate dimension wa 250x250 mm. The granade contains 40 grams of TNT and the shell was made of cast iron. The total mass of the granade was 365 grams. The stand-of-distance was veried, which was 300, 500 and 1000 mm. The results showed that all specimens were able to keep their integrity without collapse. The carbon fiber composites showed some small fragmet penetration, while the glass fiber composites showed no fragment penetration although some delaminations occured. The almunium plate showed fragment penetration and large plastic deformation. Therefore in this case, composite plates performed better than the aluminium plates.

Currently autonomous vehicles are equipped with a variety of sensors, controls and actuators, depending on the objectives and requirements of the vehicle. One of the biggest challenges in the development of the autonomous vehicle system for the assistance in the movement of people with visual disabilities is the high cost. Therefore, researchers with a limited budget carry out their experiments and research in simulation environments, while other researchers use small vehicles that in many cases do not accurately represent a real parametric dynamic system. This article describes the design of a low-cost prototype of an autonomous electric vehicle that includes its control systems, microcontrollers, encoders, motor controllers, sensors and cameras. Therefore, the designed vehicle has the ability to move autonomously through the use of vision and artificial intelligence algorithms to assist in the movement of the visually impaired person. The document details the first steps of the design taking into account the parameters of a real environment and artificial intelligence algorithms.

In this article, the simulation level characterization of the predictive control system -based in multivariable model (MPC) is developed, without restrictions in a milling process of a mineral concentrator plant. The multivariability of the process is considered and is evaluated the interaction between the variables. The control strategy that integrates all the control actions is developed, assessing the robustness in the application against disturbances. Generalized predictive control (GPC) is used, presenting the methodology in accordance with the philosophy of predictive control MPC, based on an initial modeling of the process, developed in reference [1]. The case study includes the use of a ball mill in a process of 4 input variables by 4 output (MIMO 4x4), where one of the output variables of greater control is the size of the mineral particles in an iron mine. The results of the control are evaluated observing and discussing the temporal responses in all the variables, the robustness of the control system is evaluated considering the response of the system before the application of multiple disturbances. Results are presented in various simulation scenarios using MATLAB.

In manufacturing industries specifically in metal machining, the use of the cutting tool is important to consider. The use of the cutting tool has not been used optimally, as well as cutting parameters. In the cutting process, the wear of the cutting tool and cutting force has a very close relationship. This research was carried out to analyze the wear of coated carbide cutting tool and cutting forces produced in turning AISI 4140 steel workpieces. This study was conducted with a variation of five cutting speed levels consisting of 180 m/min, 220 m/min, 260 m/min, 300 m/min, 340 m/min and depth of cut 0.7 mm. To observe the tool wear, every 5 minutes with a maximum limit value of VB of 0.3 mm and for the cutting force values taken every 1 minute. From the results of the study obtained: The increase in the value of the cutting force is affected by the increase in wear that occurs in the cutting tool due to a change in tool geometry due to wear on the cutting tool. The highest feeding force value is at the cutting speed (Vc) 340 m / min at 368 N and the greatest cutting force value is at the cutting speed (Vc) 340 m / min at 371 N.

The present work studied on the volume reduction and cold slump effect for lead-free solder. The solder paste SAC305 type 3 was used to study the effect of waiting time on the solder volume and height at room temperature. DEK 265 was used for the printing purpose and KOH YOUNG Aspire 2 was fully utilized for the measurement of solder volume and solder height. The experiment was conducted for 120 minutes with 15 minutes gap between the measurements. Three types of components size (0603, SOT and Tantalum-D) was compared to see the effect on different components sizes. Solder paste volume and height shows a reduction from its initial values after 120 minutes for all three components size. For solder volume, biggest size component, Tantalum-D give lowest volume reduction at 3.55% compared to 0603 (3.68%) and SOT (3.76%). Meanwhile, solder height gives different results where Tantalum-D have the highest height reduction at 2.8% while SOT and 0603 have lower height reduction at 2.17% and 1.84% respectively.

In this paper, the combustion characteristics of premixed butane-air combustion in three burners with different inner diameters (ID); i.e. 23mm, 31mm, and 44mm are investigated. Effect of the burner size can influence the effectiveness of the combustion of porous media with different equivalence ratios (φ). The present study is focused on a single layer of alumina foam (Al2O3) of burner with a thickness of 15mm. The experiment was run under rich (1.2< φ<2.0) combustion mode to investigate the thermal performance and flame temperature were recorded. All surface flame on top of the burner was captured using a thermal imaging camera. The results indicated the maximum average temperature of 826°C of the burner with ID = 31mm. Also, flame stability and thermal performance are better compared to other ID = 23mm and 44mm. Finally, the maximum thermal efficiency was calculated and found out to be 57%. The effects of some parameters on the feature of combustion in different size burners are also highlighted.

The viscosity methods were carried out for mono nanofluids as well as hybrid nanofluid, which are suspended in base fluid (water). Both mono and hybrid nanofluids of Al2O3/SiO were developed in concentration, which vary from 0.01% to 1.00%. The right amount of labor on work station is important to avoid uneven workload, that might reduce efficiency on production line, and cause bottleneck. Therefore, this research focus at searching the optimal amount of labor using line balancing and bottleneck that occurs on XYZ Fish Crackers Factory. Theory of constraints method is used to identify bottleneck, and line balancing method that will be used is Kilbridge-Wester, Moodie Young, Helgeson-Birnie, and J-Wagon. Fish cracker drying is the process that encounter bottleneck. The beginning line efficiency is 50.09%, with Kilbridge-Wester, Helgeson Birnie, and J- Wagon method, the line efficiency is 89.22%, and with Moodie Young method, the line efficieny is 89.45%. Therefore, Moodie Young method is the best method to apply, because it has the best result, with 89.45% line efficiency, 10.55% balance delay, 13.96% smoothness index, 20.3 minutes of idle time, 5 work station, and amount of labor needed is 10 person.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the characteristics of students who partake in online shopping and the potential of the consolidation method for delivering packages in Universitas, Indonesia (UI). The consolidation method for delivering packages is considered a solution for reducing freight volume and its negative impact on the environment. The study was based on the interview of 1824 UI students regarding their preferences on two package delivery services used in online shopping, namely direct (home) delivery and consolidation. The data was analyzed using the Analytical Hierarchical Process method and Expert Choice 11. The result shows that 56% of the students experienced problems in online shopping, with 46% experiencing a delayed delivery. Compared to the direct delivery, 51.3% of the students chose the consolidation method. In general, the most important aspect of choosing a delivery method when shopping online is time (24.7%), convenience (23.3%), accessibility (22.5%), cost (16.4%), and distance (13.2%). For those who choose direct delivery, time is the most important aspect; for those who choose consolidation, convenience in using the system and accessibility to the consolidation point are the most important. These should be taken into account in implementing the system in the UI campus so the campus can share benefits by reducing the negative impact of freight transport on the environment.

Compressor companies in the Bogor area, planning of purchasing raw materials and planning for production are based on direct orders from customers. Sometimes customers make sudden orders or increase the number of orders, so companies must change production schedules and order additional raw materials from suppliers. Not all suppliers can meet the sudden demand of the company. Compressor raw materials and other supporting raw materials often experience delays. This study aims to mitigate the causes of supply chain risk to eliminate and minimize company losses. The mapping of the company's supply chain activities is based on the SCOR. After risk identification, risk assessment is carried out to determine severity, occurence, and correlation. Furthermore, the ARP value calculation is performed to determine the ranking and risk prioritization. Determination of risk prioritization using the HOR method. Based on the Pareto table, the highest ARP value is above 80%, there are 2 causes of risk A1 and A2 that contribute as much as 86.55% of the total ARP supply, the causes of the risk are: A1: Sudden order addition and A2: Breakdown of internal and/or external communication. These two causes of risk are the priority for prevention by the company.

However, the reality on the ground of performance is not necessarily in line with company expectations. The purpose of determining priority criteria using the Analytical Network Process method is to rank the known CPO mill productivity criteria. Based on the calculation results, there are three perspectives on the perspective of identifying factors of productivity in palm oil processing factories, namely: the quality of oil palm fruit, palm fruit processing machines and labour skills. Then for the ranking of sub-criteria, the highest priority productivity criteria for palm oil processing factories with the ANP method are the quality criteria for FFB, followed by the criteria of labour skills, and the criteria for processing machinery. The Mature Fruit Quality sub-criteria based on ANP method calculation are the most dominant, followed by the Working Hours, Work Experience, Transportation, Harvest Technology, Machine Hours, Fruit Origin, Types of Technology Used, and Education / Training.

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in telecommunications construction. So far, the company has conducted performance appraisals of its employees using the rating scale method. The assessment conducted by the company is less objective because the assessment is carried out by two supervisors of the object being assessed. In addition, the results are only used for consideration of promotion. The format made by the company also has no KPI or minimum value used in assessing. Based on this, a valuation format and a more objective assessment system are needed with the aim of knowing how the personal competencies of managers. Personal competency measurements are carried out at the project manager level with an assessment format based on PMCDF®, 360 feedbacks as a scoring system, and AHP as weighting on six PMCDF® competencies. From the results of the study, the priority results obtained in the six competencies variable PMCDF® are Managing with a weight of 40%, Leading with a weight of 23%, and Communicating with a weight of 11%. The personal competency score of the project manager for each competence is in good category.

This research uses the Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3) as a tool to assess the maturity level of Company XYZ. The specific focus is on the Project Risk Management Knowledge Area. The research is conducted using questionnaire spread across the project team which consists of 1 project manager and 4 project supervisors. At the end, the result of the research shows that the company is in the bad condition of performance. Its maturity level sits in the lowest level. The result also shows that the project team has not met the requirement of the top management.

Regional Metro Junction is known as a telecommunication network project which connects one city to another city / village. This project has specific quality requirement to be achieved. However, the project executor didn't meet the quality requirement from project owner because there's no quality guideline in the planning process of the project, so it caused several quality problem in the execution process such as 2.700 meters twisted cable, 76 poles wrong location and 35 poles tilted. In addition to that, this paper aimed to design quality metric using internal control method as a guideline to control quality the project in order to minimize the potential of rework. The step of making this quality metric is identifying the possible issue of each activity, creating the critical success criteria of each activity based on requirement documentation then identifying the resources needed of each activity. The result shows that the number of defect is decreasing as much 750 meters for the twisted cable, 44 wrong pole location and 27 tilted pole. At the end, this quality metric guideline is useful to minimize the defect of the project and can be lesson learned for another project.

Warehouse activities affect the operations in the business process of a cosmetic plastic packaging company especially the production floor since the activities have connected each other. The company has problems in maximizing the storage space and eliminating the floor stock because of inaccuracy of warehouse stock data processing and inappropriate stock placement. So that, there are several types of waste in the warehouse activities from receiving, put away, storing, and order/material picking. The problem will be solved by using lean warehousing. The collected data of raw material storage, WIP storage and finished goods storage will be visualized using value stream mapping (VSM) and process activity mapping (PAM). Then, the warehouse performance is measured. From the VSM, PAM and performance measure, the waste can be identified. The wastes in the raw material storage are overproduction, inventory, defect, transportation, waiting, excess processing and motion. Wastes in WIP and finished goods storage are inventory, defect, transportation, waiting, excess processing, and motion waste. The improvement plans are to allocate the special stocks, subleveling the small quantity items, warehouse mapping based on FSN (Fast moving, Slow moving, and Non-moving) classification, creating warehouse regulation and improving transfer officer movement. The warehouse performance after improvement shows that the financial and cycle time indicators decrease while utilization, quality and productivity indicators increase. By using lean techniques, inventory accuracy can be increased, order picking errors can be reduced, processing time can be reduced, and warehouse space can be streamlined.

The purpose of this research is designing a simple automation to enhance the productivity with the combination of karakuri to achieve an efficient process. Efficient process means that to proposed system using a small quantity of energy. The system has been compared with the previous manual system and it is proven to have more productivity, easy to operate and using less energy (electricity in particular). Various things can occur in the implementation of a construction project that could lead an increase implementation time so that the completion of the project tends to be delayed or not according to plan. The OSP-FO Project was chosen as a case study because of the 3rd license party is not released yet from 5th July 2018 until entered May, 2019. The project is not having production work for more than 6 weeks and the status of the project is become on hold project. Therefore, it is necessary to renew the schedule and accelerate the project when the license is release. Time Cost Trade Off (TCTO) method is a schedule compression to get a project that is more profitable in terms of time (duration), cost, and income. The goal is to compress projects with acceptable duration and minimize the total cost of the project by selecting critical activities with adding optimum working hours for 3 hours per day. From the results of the analysis, the optimum cost is Rp. 22,397,932,645,- and the optimum duration is 292 days, so that the cost efficiency is Rp. 91,596,790 or 0,0041% and the time efficiency is 78 days or 0.2110%.

Lean Manufacturing has been known by all industries as one of the strategic tools adopted to compete in the tight market competition recently. This research will be focus on implementation of lean manufacturing at the one of the biggest local tire manufactures located in Tangerang which had a problem of production achievement was 92% to the schedule planned and the main caused by shortage building due to waiting material from preparation department. Value Stream Mapping (VSM) will be used to identify the waste at extruder since 55% problems was came from extruder. The method approach by started of identifying VSM current state, Gap analysis and action plan, and the last step is identify VSM future state and review the result. From VSM Future state, its resulted the reduction of lead time process extruder from 13.72 minutes/batch to 12.8 minutes/batch and WIP stock can be reduced from 12, 8 hours to 10.6 hours. Finally the shortage at building has been reduce from 7% to 3.2% and OEE building is increasing from 61% to 64.8%.

The performance measurement studies have been performed the method of Overall Equipment Effectiveness. To know the losses that occur in the production process is carried out by the methods of analysis of the Six Big Losses. To find out the cause dominant done with fishbone diagrams, Nominal Group Technique and scatter diagram. The results will be the basis of recommendation improvements to decrease downtime and increase the value of the effectiveness of the company's production machine by performing the calculation of OEE after repair. Objects are examined in this research is the engine Room Temperature Oven Curring for CJM air filter production process. The data used is data one year i.e. January 2017–December 2017 retrieved value Overall Equipemnt effectiveness. Value does not meet the ideal of OEE that is above 85%, machine down time occurs high in February 2017. The results of availability ratio between 66.29%-98.91% derived from the calculation of the loading time for the month of january of 314 hours and the factor cause downtime is machine break, trouble dies, material delay, delay forklifts and set up the operation, calculation time for the month of january 2017, this happens because the speed of production machines is not working optimally.

Petra Sejahtera Abadi is a company engaged in producing processed foods made from chicken and beef with freezing processes such as; sausage, smoke beef, spicy chick, spicy wings, nugget, rollade, and cornade beef. Data on the number of defects per year of nugget products from PT. Petra Sejahtera Abadi for the period of 2015 were 23, 453 disabled, in 2016 as many as 21, 876 disabled, in 2017 as many as 20, 987 disabled. Based on the description above, the goal to be achieved in this study is to determine the Statistical Quality Control (SQC) method with control chart techniques and cause and effect diagrams applied by the company in controlling quality to minimize failed products. The results of the SQC implementation contained data that was out of control. For those out of the upper control limit, the 4th period in August 2018 and the 6th period in October 2018 are Out of the Upper Control Line (UCL). The most influential factor in the occurrence of product defects is the machine and material factors that must be immediately corrected.

Quantitative approach of Lean Six Sigma and Six Sigma are capitalized in this paper's research methodology to identify problem cause. This paper in particular elaborates the scholar view of Hadid et al (2016) on Lean Six Sigma. The mentioned scholar views within theoretical perspective. It investigates the interaction term between Lean's social practices and technical practices against the performance measures of financial and operations. This investigation relates to the company's strategic objectives as unit analysis in this paper. Furthermore, the scholar view of Bärenfänger and Steinbuß (2015) view Business Engineering in its Digital form of Business Engineering as a comprehensive method for digital business model design. Subsequently, data results in this paper convey its interpretation results from production division, which is approximately 81.16% of nitrogen gas that is originated from engine design as its problem cause. To conclude, within Lean Six Sigma and Six Sigma, this paper discussion refers to the value of 1.36 that becomes 2.62 ratio. This problem is solved by using the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methods in determining repair priorities so that a more optimal treatment plan is obtained. In the production process of plastic spoons, workers who run the separation process are working in a less ergonomic condition. In consequence, the production process lacks productivity because the task requires relatively longer time than it should. Utilizing Nordic Body Map analysis method, this study found that there are physical complaints among workers. More specifically, using Quick Exposure Score method, the exposure score on the separation station is at 59.09% and at 67.90% on the packaging station. Using REBA method of analysis, this research obtains REBA score at 10 on the separation station and 9 on the packaging station. Using WERA method, the last score on the separation station is at 40 and the packaging station at 33. The standard time based on the current workstations is at 127.97 seconds. Improvement is manifested by designing working tools. The implementation of the new tool results in the decrease of biomechanical complaints and exposure level at 49.38%, REBA score at 3, and WERA score at 26 on the separation, arrangement, and counting process. This research also results in WERA score at 25 during the process of inserting packing output. The total of standard time is reduced up to 62.10%.

Through an analysis of the existing condition of the production process, it can be concluded that automation could be achieved with the oven machine, supported by conveyor that utilizes the karakuri kaizen method. This study proposes an integration design of material handling and baking machine that appropriate to be implied in the SME. Furthermore, calculation of indicators to measure the successfulness of the automation implementation is also conducted. The new system performs a significant improvement. This machine reduced the cycle time around 39%, especially in mixing and baking process. The manufacturing lead time is decreased about 55 minutes, while the production capacity is increased to 7 units per hour.

XYZ is a manufacturing company in Purwakarta which is engaged in cardboard boxes. This research was conducted by applying the six sigma method as a quality control product in PT. XYZ in order to reduce disability with DMAIC tools. By controlling the quality of the product that is controlling from the beginning to the distribution of products to consumers. It is known that the average value of waste at PT. XYZ reaches 5.36% which means it needs improvement. In the DPMO calculation it is proven that the company's sigma value is 3.6 where if you want to raise it to 4 sigma there is a GAP of 0.4 with the largest type of crepe defect. After knowing the average waste and the existing sigma value, a standard improvement was made for the approval of the implementation for the company.

The aim of this research is to develop snack products in an effort to increase market share of the product itself. The example of the product for this research commonly known as Telur Gabus. Conjoint analysis and cluster analysis methods are used in processing the data obtained. Through the distribution of questionnaires, was obtained attributes that are considered in the development of this product that consist of texture, variant of taste, how to open the package, the weigh of contents, how to carry the packaging, and packaging design. The number of combination profiles is 16 combination profile level attributes and analyzed so that the combination of attributes with the highest utility value is chosen. The combination of attributes with the highest utility value are products that have a solid texture, have a salty taste, use zipper packaging, contents inside the packaging is 100-150 gr, carried by hand and have a packaging product design with a sticker covering half the packaging.

Then after conducting the research, the results obtained are in the form of 2 alternative layouts with distances and positions of different departments that have been processed in the FTC, ARC, ARD, AAD. The results of this study were chosen alternative layout 2, because it has shorter inter-departmental distances, a more orderly production / administration process, and fewer room intersections compared to alternative layout 1.

The observations found that Symptom was caused by clearence or tappet gap that was not in accordance with the specified specifications. The gap measurement system uses filller which usually relies on the experience and feeling of the operator, so it is possible to produce an unsuitable gap measurement. This research will evaluate the measurement system of clearence tappet using Measurement system analysis (MSA) which includes stability, bias, linearity, repeatability & reproducibility. Based on data processing known that the measurement system has a stable process with a linearity level of 2.6% is acceptable. The measurement system has a biased problem with an average bias value of 0.054 mm (not acceptable) and from repeatability & reproducibility with a GRR% of ANOVA method of 49.98% that exceeds the acceptance criteria.

The tools used are SIPOC diagrams, pareto diagrams, P charts, minitabs to calculate sigma levels and improvment with FMEA. The number of reject spots for tablets in 2018 was 0.28% and the sigma level was 4.63, then after analysis and DMAIC the reject rate was reduced to 0.0081% and sigma level 5.45.

The allocation of bandwidth that provided sometimes does not match the needs of the client, so it takes an accurate prediction of bandwidth usage. This research obtained that Neural Network backpropagation modeling can solve the problem. The stages of research conducted the stage of training and testing phase. Data training is traffic data weekly and conducted by feed-forward back method, with max error 0.001, max hidden layer neuron 5000, constant momentum 0.95 and increase ratio 0.1. Before the data train is conducted, the scaling of the input and target values in the range of 0.1-0.9, then resumes the denormalization after the data train to return the data into Kb form. The results obtained from the training process in the form of comparison data, training performance, and regression. Furthermore, data testing, conducted by using a network that has been developed from the previous results. The test results are shown in the form of real data and predictive data using 8 input layers. In the prediction process, the mean square error generated is 0.0031792 which indicates a low error rate, so it can be stated that the resulting modeling has a level of output accuracy in predicting the use of computer network bandwidth is very high.

Data Center (DC) quality is if it can provide optimal service. Optimal service means that the access provided should be free from interference. Interference can come from outside the system or from within the system itself. One of the variables used to measure the performance of data center architecture is a routing protocol. Routing Information Protocol is a variable to measure performance on BCube and DCell topologies. Testing is done using a simulator that can produce information architecture that has the best performance when communicating from the server to the client. BCube is a server-centric network structure, while DCell is a recursively defined architecture. This study was conducted to compare the two data center topologies with experimental methods. The results show that DCell has a better speed in data transmission. However, when viewed from the side of security and integrity of BCube delivery much better, this is because BCube is able to send data completely without any failure or inhibition in the delivery.

Speech and voice recognition has a wide range of uses across industries, including embedded devices such as in smartphones, dictation and assistance applications, smart cars, and others. The input for a speech recognition system could be in the form of audio signals or visual images. This paper presents a vowel recognition system, as parts of a speech recognition system, from face images using Fisher Linear Discriminant Analysis (FLDA) method. Images of human faces are used as input for the system. The vowel recognition process consists of the Canny edge detection stage for ROI extraction, the FLDA method for feature extraction, and the Euclidean distance calculation for vowel classification. The output of the system is a written vowel character. The experimental results showed that the average success rate for the vowel recognition was 66%, with vowel "i" and "e" achieved 100% recognition accuracies.

This paper discusses how to build a network interference notification system by integrating Telegram messenger. The problem faced is that when the system has not been integrated, a technician must check for interference based on complaints faced by the customer. After getting a disturbance report from a customer, a technician must check one by one to find out the disturbance. This is of course time consuming and inefficient. So, to facilitate the performance of technicians and to improve service, the system that was previously manual is integrated using a notification system that is integrated with Telegram. This system will automatically provide notifications through periodic checks conducted by Netwatch. Testing is done using simulations using virtual machines and GNS3. The results of this paper are a website-based application and Telegram-based messenger that are ready to be implemented on a real network.

The research method used is an experiment where each symbol will be indicated by three colors, namely: green, yellow, and red. Each color has its own meaning. Green has the meaning that the reporting engine matches / meets the testing criteria. The yellow color means that the reporting engine is a bit suitable / only meets part of the testing criteria. The red color means that the reporting engine does not meet the criteria of testing. Next, the symbol will be used for graphics. To prove this statement, the prototype design of the QuickCash payment system was built using the SSDLC methodology and tested the QuickCash payment system prototype by collecting data using a questionnaire. Based on the test results with a significance level of 5%, all respondents agreed that the QuickCash payment system made it easy for users to make money transfers.

Usually an information retrieval system uses text as its query for retrieving the results. However, the system can also use images, as opposed to text, for the search query. This technique commonly is called content based image retrieval. In this paper, we explore the retrieval of fashion products such as hats, sneakers, t-shirts, flat shoes, and dresses from images using color, texture, and shape features to represent the characteristics of the query images. The color, texture, and shape features are color moments, gray level co-occurrence matrix, and histogram of oriented gradients, respectively. The feature extraction process produces vectors with statistical feature value which can then be clustered to retrieve images with high degree of similarity. Comparing those feature representations for the retrieval system, it is shown that shape feature is the best representation.

The road functions as an infrastructure of traffic movement and its performance can be assessed. It has mattered in performance, including durability, economic value, planned life, comfort, and flexibility. The roads can be damaged and require repairs to maintain performance. Handling road damage in Indonesia is still found to be a mismatch between planning and implementation. This research was conducted to assist decision-makers in determining the type of road construction in accordance with technical and non-technical factors. Factors used to assess eligibility in the selection of road improvements is the type of concrete construction or asphalt construction. This study intends to develop a decision support system to determine the type of road construction. The model was developed using Analytical Hierarchy Process method. The factors used in the model are the availability of resources, road surface comfort, weather resistance, ground movement, traffic conditions, and maintenance period. The results showing the technical factors have the highest weight resistance to weather (0.491), and non-technical factors are the availability of resources (0.667).

Advances in computer technology have increased in most aspects of medical analysis, such as for diagnosing diseases, treating drugs, analysing organs, and others. Computers are often used as a tool for analysis of medical images. This paper describes an automatic segmentation process of white blood cell areas on given microscopic images. The input of the system is microscope slide images with various staining conditions. Some images contain colour degradations due to imperfect staining process, while some images are in excellent staining condition. The Hough Transform method is applied for the segmentation process of the white blood cells detection. The system classifies each detected white blood cell area in one of the three defined categories (Small, Medium, and Large). The segmentation accuracy of the proposed system was 40.58% for images with colour degradation, while 100% segmentation accuracy was achieved by the system for images with excellent staining condition.

Traffic accidents have become a major socio-economic problem in Malaysia as it is the primary cause of mortality. Over 60 percent of these fatal accidents occurred on rural roads. Nearly half of all fatalities took place on federal roads and over a quarter happened on state roads. It is also estimated that about 2 percent of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), or approximately RM 9 billion, is lost through road accidents. Previous studies managed to develop several models for modelling the occurrence of accidents, but most of these models have plenty of deficiencies. The following study focuses on stochastic regression models, such as Poisson, Negative Binomial, Zero-Inflated Poisson and Zero-Inflated Negative Binomial with excess zero outcomes on the response variables. Furthermore, in order to specify the regression relationship with a sophisticated result, R-statistical programming is used. The method used is also the updating approach in predicting potential road accidents, which can also produce an accuracy probability of hazardous locations. Based on road accident data collected over a five-year period from 2010 to 2014 at Federal Road F0050: Kluang-A/Hitam- B/Pahat in Johor, Malaysia, results of this study show that Zero Inflated model performed better, in terms of the comparative criteria based on the AIC value.

The present work aims to obtain an automated program based on deep learning to detect and classify cardiac arrhythmia using electrocardiogram (ECG) data. One of the main obstacles in working with medical dataset is the limited availability of public medical data and the fact that only a small fraction of data represents non-normal medical conditions. In the present work we will compare the two convolutional neural network models inspired by VGGNet and ResNet in predicting of cardiac arrhythmia. Our calculations show that the two methods are equally good in predicting the overall accuracy for large dataset. However, ResNet shows a slightly better performance in predictions for much smaller dataset.

Medical records consist of health data that must be kept confidential and is regulated in Indonesian law. Until now the implementation of electronic medical records in Indonesia has not been clearly regulated in a law, while Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia state that medical records must be made in writing, complete, and clearly or electronically. In view of this, another approach than the regulation is needed to be able to meet the confidentiality of the data in the regulation, in electronic form. In this study, an electronic medical record application was designed and built that can meet the requirements of the legislation. The application encrypts patient's health data stored on medical records using the AES-256 algorithm for data confidentiality. The use of AES-256 has been standardized based on the Federal Information Processing Standards Publication 197 and RSA Digital Signature digital signature because it has been standardized based on Federal Information Processing Standards Publication 186-4 and NIST Special Publication 800-89. Salmonella bacterial infection often cause uncertainty during medical diagnostic phase. Two most common diseases caused by salmonella bacteria are typhus and diarrhea. This study aims to apply fuzzy inference system within medical diagnostic system so that the uncertainty of diagnostic process can be minimized. At first, a knowledge-based system was developed based on physician experience, containing 13 symptoms and 11 rules. Secondly, a web-based platform was designed as a media for physician and or patient to perform diagnostic process. Thirdly, an evaluation of the proposed system was conducted by using black box testing, white box testing, and error measurement via confussion matrix. This study found that by applying triangular membership function, Mamdani inference engine, and defuzzification centroid, the system was able to differenciate between typhus and diarrhea. Furthermore, the web-based medical diagnostic system showed an error rate of 0.3. In other words, the proposed fuzzy-based system was in line with the diagnostic result proposed by the physician.

Almost every day, apartment buildings in Jakarta have to face a long hour exposure of solar heating which caused temperature gain inside the building. It creates a high room temperature and requires an air-conditioning system to reduce room temperature. This problem arises from the ineffective function of architecture design elements used. The method used in this research is literature study and analyze it with the case study of three apartments located in Jakarta. The principal design of climate-responsive architecture in Jakarta (tropical humid climate city) is a passive cooling strategy which used to prevent/avoid solar heat exposure and to release heat inside the building. There are two categories of design elements function used: 1) as building envelope/façade (such as shadings, ventilation, roof, and building materials) and 2) as building placement (such as building thickness and orientation, ventilations, building landscape, etc.). Three apartments located in Jakarta were analyzed with the findings, and the design elements used were found ineffective as climate filter in Jakarta (the three apartments still rely on air-conditioned systems-active cooling approach to reduce the transmitted solar heat and cooling rooms). The result of this study is a solution/recommendation for designing architecture elements that functioned as climate filter and have better respond to Jakarta's climate.

This research is conducted to study on the effect of skylight shapes to natural lighting distribution in Plaza Senayan. Qualitative & quantitative methods are used with explorative approach, along with real measurements in the areas of the shopping mall covered by natural lighting. Building orientation, building shape, skylight shape, natural lighting distribution, and lighting intensity are the indicators used in this study. Field exploration was analyzed with current codes, and a simulation was conducted using Velux Daylight software to see the lighting distribution as well as the solution. Research results show that there are areas that hasn't fulfill the minimum lighting intensity requirement, areas with too much lighting, far from current standards. Results show that natural lighting distribution on square skylights are more evenly distributed than circular or hexagonal skylight shapes. This shows that skylight shapes does have an effect towards natural lighting distribution.

Indonesia is geographically a country located in an area that is often subject to natural disasters. As a result of natural disasters that damaged residents homes, many people lost their homes and needed temporary shelter to evacuate. However, shelters in practice are often inappropriate and have poor quality and are late or come in damaged condition. The purpose of this study is to develop an emergency shelter spatial design that functions for disaster emergencies. In this study the method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, this method aims to describe the conditions that currently apply, in order to understand more deeply the needs of disaster victims who are displaced in shelters that are currently being used in the field. Based on several theories used, conclusions will be drawn to become a tool in the analysis. The objects to be observed are several emergency shelter units that were used in the latest disaster, the disaster in Palu, Information and data will be obtained through interviews and field observations accompanied by documentation. This research shows that emergency shelters currently in the field do not yet have spatial functions that can fulfill activities and accommodate disaster victims' activities well. The results of this study are three alternative plans that have been adapted to the needs of space and function in accordance with the activities and activities of disaster victims in Palu in order to create the expected comfort and privacy. Suggestions for layout and emergency shelter space requirements are manifested in the form of tables and floor plans.

This study aims to examine the architecture of traditional Chinese buildings in the China Benteng area, Tangerang. The research method used is a qualitative rationalistic approach with qualitative data analysis. In the Chinese tradition, a procedure for building houses cannot be separated from Fengshui, as in the temple building in the China Benteng area. Fengshui is very important in determining the building direction that is profitable so that it will get blessings and avoid disaster. Meanwhile, wood materials usage in traditional Chinese buildings such as the Boen Tek Bio temple is solid wood. If a renovation or replacement of wood material is needed, of course now it is difficult to find solid wood of good quality, such as when building the Boen Tek Bio temple. For building preservation needs, processed wood or engineering wood is commonly used as one of the building materials and can be considered if needed to replace damaged wood material in traditional Chinese buildings.

In this paper, design of multiband MIMO antenna by using patch and slot modification is proposed. The MIMO multiband antenna design uses the addition and modification of patch and slot shapes to obtain antenna performance in several frequency bands. In a previous study, the multiband antenna design only used the method of adding patches or slots separately. In this research, we tried to combine the addition of patches and slots together. The antenna design uses the substrate material Rogers RT5880 with a dielectric constant (εr) 2.2 and height 0.787 mm. The dimensions of the MIMO multiband antenna developed by this study are 42.90 × 14.89 mm. Simulation and measurement results show that this MIMO antenna can work on several millimeter-wave frequency bands, 24 GHz, 28 GHz and 38 GHz. These results prove that the development of design techniques by adding patches and slots to microstrip antennas can produce antennas that work in several frequency bands.

Remote control mostly uses infrared radiation for transmitting data to be received by the controlled electronic home appliances. Since infrared radiation transmission is line of sight by nature, it is not effective when the control is needed for larger coverage areas where there are obstructions between transmitter and receiver. This limitation inspired the design of the expanded coverage remote controller. In this design, Android application is used for user interface. The application uses internet for data transmission media, so that controlling from different rooms or very long distances can be achieved. The controller was designed for five infrared control signals. The electronic home appliances that can be controlled are air conditioners and television sets, using preset buttons on the application.

Detecting cholesterol levels with iridology can be an alternative method for checking human's health. Iridology analyzes diseases and weaknesses of the body based on the shape and structure of the iris. This study uses image processing to analyze patterns in the outer portion of the iris bordering the sclera. Colored iris images are converted to grayscale to facilitate image processing. The results of color conversion still contain noise so that the Median Filter is used to eliminate noise in the image. The iris image which is still in the form of polar is transformed into a rectangular shape. This is used to facilitate the taking of the area to be analyzed. Next, the iris image is filtered using a Gaussian Filter to get smooth results. This is used to remove lines on the iris image after being converted into a rectangular shape. From the filtered image, the statistical value is calculated using the Gray Level Co-Occurance Matrix (GLCM). This is a comparison method which will produce several statistical characteristics, namely Energy, Correlation, Contrast, and Homogeneity. The four statistical characteristics will be used as input data for training using the Backpropagation Neural Network method that will produce output in the form of normal cholesterol or high cholesterol. The results of experiments on thirty images obtained an accuracy of 96.67%.

Along with the booming of digital photography, camera users grow significantly, especially the users of digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera. There are many new users who apply their DSLR cameras for the first time and have little knowledge how to use them. That's why an application is needed to guide a novice user so that he/she could get better understanding about photography. We have an idea to create such a guidance application that can provide evaluation and suggestion about the quality of user's photographs. Thus, users can easily develop the ability of photography. Overall, the level of accuracy of this application in identifying deficiencies in the pictures taken is about 75%. This level of accuracy is calculated from errors that occur in detecting both sharpness of the pictures and light intensity (exposure) of the pictures, or any one of them. The errors in detecting the conditions of pictures, occur in some pictures. Hence, it needs further development of methods to improve the accuracy in all conditions of pictures taken. Best accuracy is necessary so that the proper suggestion is given by the application in accordance with the actual condition of the picture.

System and reliability can be analyzed from the satellite data reception log. This remote-based system requires an analysis system that is able to work to automatically collect log data from several antennas and display it easily so that it can be learned without having to check each log antenna one by one. This system facilitates detection when anomaly occurs on the antenna. The statistical method is used in analyzing the antenna so that it can be known the average receive signal level parameter in the receiver, the maximum value along with azimuth and elevation. This system can see the average antenna capability and the condition of the antenna when it is not optimal. The monitoring should be automatic to locate problems in data acquisition. This application is focused on grouping photos that have information about the location of the photo. To get the location of the nearest tourism destination is by taking the location coordinate value from the uploaded photo then grouping it with a maximum distance of 1 kilometer. The main location for data collection is in Gunung Kidul Regency. This application uses Android for its development. For data processing and transforming scripts into the JSON file uses PHP and for storing the data uses MySQL.The metadata of the photo contains detail information about the photo. In the application shown the few information of its metadata such as the date and time took, image size and resolution, camera maker and model, also coordinate latitude and longitude. The location and metadata values will be shown in the application and stored in the database. Partitioning Clustering method used to find the nearest place within the 1 km radius. First of all by taking the coordinates value from an uploaded photo and stored to a database. The coordinate must be converted from Degree Minute Second Format into Latitude and Longitude Coordinate. After that, the calculation process starting with uses the Euclidean Distance formula to get the nearest distance of the attractions. To display the nearest location, sorting the result values from a minimum value to the maximum value as the final result. The application could be a reference for tourists who will visit Gunung Kidul Regency.

Travel App is a tourism-based application that aims to help travelers in providing easy access information on tourism destinations. It shows nearby tourism sites via Google Maps interface within the application and calculates the nearest tourism site with the help of Haversine formula. It calculates the distance between longitude and latitude of places in a sphere. Tourism data used are gathered directly from Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Not every traveler knows which places to visit or which nearest tourism site they could reach within certain distance and time. This application is able to provide essential travelling information, such as the location of tourist places, their opening and closing hours, address, and photos. Through this app, travelers could explore tourism destinations without being worried not knowing where they could make a stop in their itinerary. Travel App has been tested in the Yogyakarta area and has been shown to deliver its intended functional purposes.

Public opinion on social media is a strong factor in determining whether or not smart farming is implemented in Indonesia. So the purpose of this research is to find data from Twitter and then analyzed using the sentiment analysis method, which will be classified using Naïve Bayes method. This process starts with searching data on Twitter, preprocessing text, classification, and finally testing. The accuracy testing results gives a value of 0.97, and Recall produces a value of 1.0, F1 produces a value of 0.98 and an AUC value of 0.5.

Bantul and Sleman regency has many tourism object that can attract tourists. However, tourism objects in this area are still poorly known by many people. When tourists visit tourism objects, they like to take pictures with a smartphone. The geotagging process can be done when taking photos using a smartphone. This data consists of latitude and longitude coordinates, though they can also include altitude, distance, and place names. The purpose of this study is to visualize photos of tourism objects based on location and provide detailed information related to the geotagged photo. The method used in this study is agglomerative hierarchical clustering. Grouping photos based on a hierarchy that starts from the village, district and regency. The results of this study are an application that can help users to receive information about tourism objects and display the location of photos with google maps. Users only need to upload a geotagged photo, to get this information. This application testing will be carried out by visitors of tourism objects in the Bantul and Sleman regency.

The aims of this study is the development of vertical housing in Tangerang City is an alternative strategy to meet the needs of housing for the community, especially Low-Income Communities (MBR), reduce backlogs, and optimize the fulfillment of Green Open Space (RTH). In addition, it also aims to build a vertical housing development model and its implications for policy / meeting the needs of the community for housing, providing a transit area that is responsive to the needs of mass transportation or developing a Transit Oriented Development (TOD) based area in Greater Jakarta, and creating a transit area with various kinds of supporting facilities with integrated activity functions. Data analysis methods used include descriptive analysis, statistical analysis, financial analysis, input-output (I-O) analysis, and dynamic system analysis. The results showed that the people of Tangerang City had the potential for great interest in vertical housing but the level of affordability was still very low. For this reason, the role of the government is very much needed in terms of facilitating developers in the form of policies. Housing development also has a multiplier effect on development in Tangerang City and the surrounding area. These impacts can, among other things, increase community income, a high rate of employment, also expected by the development of vertical dwellings in the TOD area can leave private vehicles and switch to public transportation or mass transportation such as the use of LRT, MRT, commuter line, bus, and etc.

North Coast Jakarta land reclamation policy is a comprehensive effort undertaken by the city administration to increase space requirements in Jakarta. Interpretation of the North Coast Jakarta land reclamation policy and provisions of the spatial plan raises various debates on the pros and cons. In the implementation, there are still two conflicting sources of law on this reclamation policy, between Presidential Decree No. 52 of 1995 and Presidential Decree No. 54 of 2008. The peak was in June 2018, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan stop and seal all the property on the reclaimed land due to not completing a building permit. This action became a new polemic reclamation. The study was conducted with a descriptive-analytical method, which describes the underlying spatial phenomena and has an impact on the North Coast Jakarta land reclamation specifically at D Island "Gold Island". The results of this study indicate that land reclamation is a necessity for the city that has highly increasing of population growth rate. Facts implementation of the land reclamation project on D island until now contrary to the main purpose of land reclamation of North Coast Jakarta. The complexity of the implementation land reclamation project comes from the inconsistency of policies and orientation of economic benefits. The orientation of economic benefits from extra spaces on D island is a form of capitalist space and ignores the social space. Calculation of particle or photon flux in three dimensions is needed to facilitate the observation and the real approach of radiation to the observed object. Calculation of the flux of radiation received on an object's surface can be done using the MCNP-5 particle transport program (Monte Carlo N particle-5). In this study, the radiation source is a neutron particle emitted from the center of the ball with a radius of 0.5 cm with 16 MeV of energy on an object's surface of an iron ball with a radius of 0.5 cm. The source of neutrons and irradiated objects is in a cube vessel, with a side length of 10 cm and 20 cm. This simulation can be useful as a model for calculating the impact of radiation exposure on the surface of objects in human organs. Flux and the magnitude of the radiation particle's track on the object's surface are calculated based on changes in media material, media size and number of radiation particles (NPS). The results showed that the flux and particle track received by the surface of an object were greatly influenced by the media material and media size and the NPS value of the radiation particles.

In this study, embedded system technology was implemented in the supervision system of chicken farms. This system works by utilizing sensors that are used to collect data on temperatures, ammonia levels, chicken food in the chicken coop. The method used in this study consisted of three stages. The first stage is a literature study on problems that often occur in chicken farms. The second step is to make observations directly to the farm to get more information. Then proceed with the implementation and testing. The research data were collected through observations and interviews with breeders on chicken farms, Bogor district. The results of the study show that the system can monitor ammonia levels, chicken food weight, and room temperature. The farmer can easily monitor the condition of chicken farms and get SMS notifications on situations that need to be dealt with immediately. Currently, the PIN is still used to verify identity on web-based applications. PIN is widely used because it is easy authentication. However, a PIN has a potential security risk that is vulnerable to shoulder surfing attacks. The way to reduce shoulder surfing attacks is to create an interface that is difficult to attack with shoulder surfing attack techniques. One interface that can be applied is the incognito method. In this research, the application of the incognito method is implemented as a web login application. The application is built based on the web using the SHA3-256 algorithm to hash the PIN. The results of the stufy prove that the application built is resistant to shoulder surfing attack by attackers.
