The International Symposium of Geoscience, Oil & Gas Engineering, Sustainable and Environmental Technology (GEOSOSTEK 2020) is an international conference initiated by Hemispheres and STIEPARAPI. This conference was originally planned for an offline meeting and held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. However, after the announcement of the COVID-19 pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO), it resulted in many countries putting into lockdowns and travel restrictions. In Indonesia itself, the government's policies are social restrictions on a large scale and fairly strict travel regulations. In addition to many requirements such as mandatory COVID-19 swab testing and others. So that we feel quite burdensome during this Pandemic. With a long consideration, finally this conference was decided to be held virtual while still meeting conference standards through the Zoom application. This virtual conference has been held according to the set schedule, which was December 19, 2020. The papers submitted in this conference were reviewed by 3 reviewers and the results based on the decisions of the 3 reviewers. The received papers in this conference were 82 papers and only 48 papers have been accepted. The paper authors at this conference must present their papers with a duration of 15 minutes including the question and answer. Scientific discussions are maintained in this conference to meet quality conferences from paper selection to submission of conference papers to publishers. Many of the conference participants were satisfied if the conference was held in a virtual manner given the many burdensome regulations and so that they would not catch COVID-19.

The rise of issues related to the COVID-19 outbreak has influenced researchers to direct their research in this area. This epidemic has become a global epidemic and has had tremendous impacts in terms of environmental, economic, food and other conditions. Not only the COVID-19 outbreak, several areas were also affected by disasters such as floods, landslides, earthquakes, and so on. These incidents reveal the fact that the world is getting old and humans should be wiser in treating it. Various policies, facilities and infrastructure were deployed to mitigate this disaster so that humans and the environment could survive and continue their lives. One example relates to the implementation of lockdown policies or restrictions on social interactions and the closure of business facilities in order to reduce the spread of the virus. On the one hand, this has an impact on the economic side of the community, but on the other hand, the environment is getting cleaner because it reduces pollution caused by vehicle waste and production waste. Various kinds of technological devices are also used to communicate over long distances in interacting so that the support of technological devices is very helpful for humans in their lives. Hopefully the coming years of this pandemic will end quickly and humans can do activities as before. We hope that the papers in this conference can be a solution in reducing the burden in facing the current pandemic and disaster.

Impact-based forecasting and warning services aim to bridge the gap between producers and users of warning information by connecting and increasing synergies between the components of effective early warning systems. In this research, we proposed an automated warning message based on colour codes to trigger risk mitigation actions at the local level in the flood-exposed communities of Kelantan river basin, Malaysia. With a community-based approach for different groups of users (i.e. sectors), flood-impact scenarios were determined from past events and related to colour codes. These were developed into impact-based forecasting and warnings that can connect water levels, through the colour code, to localised guidance information tailored to sectors' needs on how to respond to the expected flood. Overall, the colour coded impact-based warnings were found to be an easy and understandable way to link water level forecasts to the necessary risk mitigation actions. However, further investigation is needed to validate these findings under real-time conditions. IBF has vast potential in Malaysia, but its integration requires significant institutional changes, such as an inter-facing agency (long term) or team (short term), adjusted policy frameworks (standing orders on disasters), and new resource allocations for skills development and technological innovation from national to local levels. Overall, this paper aims to offer the first insight into impact-based forecasting and warning services in Malaysia to trigger further research and project developments.

A pipeline, railway or telecommunication cable (referred to as victim line) sharing a common corridor with ac power transmission or distribution lines captures a portion of the electromagnetic field energy surrounding the power lines in the air and soil. This captured energy, often designated as ac interference, can result in an electrical shock hazard for people touching the victim lines or metallic structures connected to them. Furthermore, excessive stress voltages across rails, telephone pairs or pipe walls and coating surfaces can result in degradation or damage to equipment and puncture of pipe coating, leading to accelerated corrosion and can damage insulation flanges and rectifiers. The main objective for this study is to analyse proximity effect from a proposed double circuit transmission lines in different scenarios, which are steady-state, fault conditions and lightning strike. Induced voltage and currents on a gas pipeline to be determined using Current Distribution, Electromagnetics and Soil Structure Analysis (CDEGS) software.

Tourism rests on the natural beauty and uniqueness of a tourist destination, both the environment and the people's socio-culture, hence maintaining sustainability towards a better future. The development of volunteer tourism does not rely solely on tourists' behavior. Nevertheless, it also depends on the uncertainties and consequences as well as emotional connection of what the destination has to offer. So far, the scholars have done little empirical study on this area. Thus, this study tries to undertake a conceptual research on measuring volunteer tourists' behavior by understanding the relationship between the norm activation model and destination attachment and risk perception roles. Therefore, a study on the inclusivity of tourists' attachment to a particular place and perceived risks in volunteer tourism is an essential need to sustain the tourism industry. Constructs affecting the behavior of volunteer tourists are discussed and relevant propositions are made. Managerial implications are suggested, and future research directions are also identified.

The development of information and data communication technology field in the world has now increasingly led to the development of the Internet of Things devices. The development of network technology in an organization/university has triggered the need for a system that can monitor computer networks and their devices in an organization/university environment that is quite extensive and complex. At this time, network monitoring becomes quite difficult to do if the computer network in a corporate environment has become very broad and complex. The wider the network and the complex network and multimedia topology that is built, the more difficult it is for network administrators to monitor the network. However, in its application to build a monitoring system it will require devices and hardware and computer requirements and specifications that are above average, which of course will also require substantial costs and large resources as well. In this research, a network monitoring and bandwidth management system will be built by using Raspberry-Pi and Icinga as the main modules in network management. Raspberry Pi is an alternative of computers that has many capabilities and has a high ability which is generally used as a Mini-Server at a very cheap price when compared with existing servers. And Icinga is an open source-based application platform that functions to monitor various types of variables contained in servers and infrastructure of the network such as availability and performance and provides easy access for network administrators to important data and to improve maintenance of network conditions. So, it is hoped that by applying this, a good and optimal network monitoring and bandwidth management tool can be produced at a low cost.

The PHP programming language is now widely used by agencies and companies around the world. To distribute applications made using PHP must use the source code so that it is prone to theft of works. If the source code is found by the programmer, it will be a big problem because it can indirectly find a hole in the security of a system from the source code. To solve this problem, the source code was coded so that the source code could not be easily copied by other parties. One of the ways to encode the source uses a combination of the Merklee-Hellman Knapsack algorithm, Discrete Logarithm and character modification to obtain complex encryption
