ECS Sensors Plus—An Electrochemical Society Journal

Welcome to ECS Sensors Plus, a "one-stop shop for sensors" by The Electrochemical Society, 1 publishers of the Journal of The Electrochemical Society and ECS Journal of Solid State Science and Technology.

As sensors' one-stop shop journal, the goal of ECS Sensors Plus is to advance the fundamental science and understanding of sensors and detection technologies for efficient monitoring and control of industrial processes and the environment, and the betterment of quality of life and human health.

ECS Sensors Plus publishes original research, methods, perspective, and reviews/critical reviews, covering all aspects of sensors—and not limited to just electrochemical sensors, but to include all types of sensors. 2 Every article is peer reviewed, with emphasis on high quality and reproducibility. The targeted readership is broad and international with the journal promoting themes of current interest and collaborative projects in all facets of sensors.

The quality of ECS Sensors Plus is not only guaranteed through the robust peer-review process, but also through the commitment of the globally diverse Editorial Team and an active Editorial Advisory Board with a wide range of sensing expertise. 3

The first issue of ECS Sensors Plus includes three perspective articles; 46 three review articles; 79 and original research articles. The very first paper to receive ECS Editors' Choice status is "3D Printing: An Innovative Trend in Analytical Sensing." 9 The first issue also includes papers on hydrogen sensing, 10 "...Disinfection of Electrochemical Aptamer-Based Sensors," 11 Klebsiella pneumoniae detection, 12 and even "Longitudinal Sleep Monitoring." 13

As stakeholders of the global sensing community, we invite authors from academia, industry, clinicians, national labs, and policy makers to submit their best sensor-related work to ECS Sensors Plus. It will be an honor and pleasure to have you all join ECS Sensors Plus as reviewers to further improve the excellent papers we receive. Your help and continued support will be greatly appreciated!
