Abstract

A new type of 2 V rocking chair lithium battery with nanocrystalline (anatase) as the negative electrode and or as the positive electrode has been studied. The electrolyte solution was 1M in ethylene carbonate + 1,2‐ dimethoxyethane. The and batteries delivered about 50 mAh/g (based on the total mass of active electrode materials) during galvanostatic charge/discharge at ±0.33 mA/cm2. The latter battery showed a capacity drop of about 30% over 190 galvanostatic charge/discharge cycles.
