Abstract

Thermal explosion of aluminum powder ASD-4 suspended in an air flow was studied experimentally using the model of hotspot ignition. A critical hotspot radius and ignition condition have been determined, and the eff ect of turbulence intensity on the development of the hotspot has been established.
