Abstract
A single-phase Fe-30Mn-0.11C steel with a heterogeneous lamellar structure composed of micron-sized recrystallized grains (MRGs) and deformation bands (DBs) was successfully produced by cold rolling to 90% in thickness reduction and annealing at 550 °C for 120 min. The tensile properties of samples cut out along the rolling direction (RD) and transverse direction (TD) were investigated. The results indicate that the samples along the RD and TD both exhibit excellent tensile properties, with a yield strength of approximately 600 MPa and a total elongation of more than 30%.
