Abstract
It has been found that ZVI is cheap and readily available, environmentally friendly, highly active, thoroughly removed, and has a wide range of applications. It can remove a variety of environmental pollutants in wastewater, surface water, groundwater, and drinking water, such as organic compounds, heavy metals and metalloids, oxygen-containing anions. It has been found through research that the activity of ZVI can be improved in various ways. This paper summarizes the research progress of various methods such as ZVI pretreatment, ZVI and material coupling method, UV assisted method, weak magnetic field method, aeration method and particle size reduction, which in order to provide new ideas for the theoretical research and application of ZVI.
