Abstract
In order to solve the problem of water intake clogging by jellyfish in cold source water area of nuclear power plant, a jellyfish detection method based on high-resolution multi beam imaging is proposed. The sea moon jellyfish detection experiment in real environment is carried out in the laboratory pool, and the echo characteristics of individual jellyfish are analyzed. In the experiment, the acoustic images of jellyfish and other sea creatures are obtained by using acoustic means. It is found that the change of posture has an important influence on the echo energy of jellyfish. The feasibility of detecting jellyfish and other marine organisms by high frequency multi beam method is preliminarily verified.
