Abstract

The article discusses the issues of creating a heat-shielding coating to protect carbon composites from oxidation and ablation in high-temperature gas flows. The prospects of creating a framework structure containing a refractory zirconium dioxide powder in a metal matrix are substantiated. Particular attention is paid to the distribution of heat fluxes in the process of laser melting of the coating. The temperature in the coating is calculated as the melt front propagates, which opens up the possibility of optimizing the parameters of the coating laser processing technology. The developed technology is promising for the protection of carbon composites in the conditions of their use in the flow path of turbine engines.
