Abstract
An analytical overview of the current state of the technology for monitoring safety and transmitting messages through the rock using electromagnetic and seismic waves is given. The paper describes the possibility of predicting mountain impacts based on the seismoelectric effect, which allows one to determine the time and place of gas accumulation. To increase the reliability of the forecast, it is advisable to create a comprehensive monitoring system that includes other modern monitoring methods.
