Abstract
The paper considers the issues of wood drying followed by huge energy consumption rates. It analyzes current traditional technologies of wood drying in order to identify the main disadvantages. The key idea of the study is the phenomenon of electric osmosis that makes it possible to extract liquid from the massif of wood. The technology shall significantly increase energy efficiency of wood drying due to energy saving thus reducing the costs of wood drying.
