Abstract

This study aims to identify the MMoE of pre-service physics teacher who had followed the Basic Physics 2 subject, especially in electricity concept. Phenomenological method was used to describe the MMoE of 49 pre-service physics teachers. The results showed that the respondents' MMoE at level 1 is 50.2%, at level 2 is 16.7%, at level 3 is 3.3% and inaccessible MMoE is 29.8%. This profile suggests that in analyzing the problems, pre-service physics teachers answer the questions based on intuition and daily experience without using the appropriate concept. Pre-service physics teachers are incapable of analyzing, accessing, constructing element of the knowledge gained during the lecture, and their answers were not coherently represented. Based on the analysis of data and research results, it seems that learning applied do not help pre-service physics teachers organizing knowledge in solving problems.
