Abstract
Quantum screening effects on orientation phenomena for the screening and antiscreening channels in ion-ion collisional excitations are investigated in semiclassical plasmas. An effective pseudopotential model taking into account both the quantum effects and the plasma screening effects is applied to describe the ion-ion interaction potential in semiclassical plasmas. The result shows that a preference for the 1s→2p-1 transition of the target ion in the antiscreening channel is stronger than that in the screening channel. For both the screening and antiscreening channels, the quantum effects increase a preference for the 1s→2p-1 transition. However, a preference for the 1s→2p-1 transition is decreased with increasing quantum effects in small impact parameters. The quantum effects on the screening channel are found to be stronger than those on the antiscreening channel.
