Abstract

Gamma rays and conversion electrons emitted in the ¹¹⁷Cs and ¹¹⁷Xe decays have been studied from on-line mass-separated ¹¹⁷Cs sources at the ISOLDE facility. A new ¹¹⁷Xe decay scheme has been constructed and a level scheme has been established for the ¹¹⁷Cs decay. The results are discussed in the framework of the recent understanding of the odd-mass neutron-deficient I and Xe systematics.
