The uses of thermal neutron scattering have been well documented in review articles and books, but this is the first full-length study of the newer techniques of pulsed neutron scattering. The advantage of pulsed sources is that the emerging electrons have a much wider range of energies and the number of different types of experiments which can be attempted is correspondingly greater.
