As the title shows, only sinusoidally time-varying fields are considered (" a.c. theory ") in this work which is of graduate standard according to the introduction, although some of it would come within the compass of final year university electrical engineering or physics courses. The treatment is of course mathematical and virtually no reference is made to detailed practical cases.
