Abstract

The binding energy of the surface X2+ trion is calculated as a function of the mass ratio sigma , 0<or= sigma =me/mh<or=1, by a variational method. The trion is stable for any value of sigma and the binding energy is much larger than that of the bulk trion. Some results about the wavefunction are presented.
