Preface

The 2018 International Conference on Civil and Hydraulic Engineering (IConCHE 2018) will be held on November 23-25, 2018 in Qingdao, China, which aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects related to civil and hydraulic engineering. This year, IConCHE 2018 is co-organized by the University of Auckland, New Zealand, the Qingdao Science and Technology Association and Monash University, Australia. Prof.Soon-Thiam Khu (Monash University, Australia) and Prof.Christos Makropoulos (National Technical University of Athens, Greece) will be the keynote speakers of the conference. IConCHE 2018 presents a collection of high quality research articles and presentations that address broad challenges on both theoretical and application aspects of civil and hydraulic engineering. Colleagues will be invited to contribute original research articles as well as present the latest research outputs that will stimulate the continuing effort on the application of civil and hydraulic engineering. In this edition, IConCHE 2018 is providing a venue of high quality state-of-the-art research papers in the following areas of interest:
