Preface
The 2018 International Conference of Green Buildings and Environmental Management (GBEM 2018) will be held on Aug. 23-25, 2018 in Qingdao City, Shandong Province, China, which aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects related to green buildings and environmental management. This year, the GBEM 2018 is co-organized by The University of Auckland, New Zealand, the Qingdao Science and Technology Association and the Qingdao Society of Civil and Architectural Engineering. Professors Kenji OGINO, Shih-Chieh Lin and Dong Bok Lee will be invited as the keynote speakers. GBEM 2018 presents a collection of high quality research articles and presentations that address broad challenges on both theoretical and application aspects of green buildings. Colleagues will be invited to contribute original research articles as well as present the latest research outputs that will stimulate the continuing effort on the application of green buildings. In this edition, GBEM 2018 is providing a venue of high quality state-of-the-art research papers in the following areas of interest:
1. Building Materials, Structure and Technology
2. Environment and Environmental Pollution
3. Energy, Recycling and Reuse
4. Architectural Environment and Equipment Engineering
5. Sustainable City and Regional Development
All submitted papers were reviewed by appropriately qualified experts in the field selected by the Conference Committee. After the tight selection procedure, good quality papers were accepted for oral presentation and publication in this proceeding. We hope that those volumes will not only provide the readers a broad overview of the latest advances but also provide the researchers a valuable summary and reference in this field.
