This paper presents some of the basic terms and concepts in the domain. The lack of standards and security concerns are discussed as the main technical barriers for reaching integration and interoperability. Mobile technologies are described as a new source of data and promising tool for providing personalized care. Latest trends and solutions are presented, as well as the need of advancement.
