Abstract

In this work I deal with the measurement of pollutant emissions by infra-red spectroscopy. The description of the measurement focuses on the suitability of the used device in relation to measurement accuracy of the concentrations of emissions monitored during the measurement. The FTIR method is very fast and accurate, so it is particularly suitable for testing samples of exhaust gases under transient conditions. When analysing exhaust gases it is important to design a suitable measurement track which does not affect the measured sample and also so that mechanical particles in the sample do not damage the cuvette and its accessories.
