Abstract
Deuterated a -glycine was studied by high resolution neutron powder diffraction (NPD). We performed a careful data analysis by Rietveld refinement and compared the result with those of the previous neutron single crystal (NSD) studies. The comparison demonstrates that the deviation of NPD study is generally within 1.2% from the NSD studies, indicating high resolution NPD is by no means inferior to NSD in studying small organic molecular crystals.
