Abstract

Tensor operators transforming under finite dimensional irreducible representations of the quantum group U_q(n) are defined. Using them tensor operators transforming under representations of the quantum algebra U_q(u(n)) are introduced. The Wigner-Eckart theorem on matrix elements of tensor operators defined is derived.
