The Journal of Optics special issue on Green Photonics is now available to read free online until the end of May 2012. Guest edited by Allan Boardman, Mark Brongersma and Albert Polman, this special issue explores some of the exciting new advances in the fields of light trapping and photovoltaic cells. It also investigates the new technologies being developed in the field of green photonics, and how these may help to avert the pending energy crisis. This special issue contains both review articles from distinguished scientists in the field and a number of research papers on the latest developments.
