Fast Track Communications

Fast Track Communications (FTCs) are outstanding short papers reporting new and timely developments in mathematical and theoretical physics.

Fast Track Communications:

  • Are intended for high quality research, reporting significant new results.
  • Are not required to meet any criteria of 'general interest'. Conjectural articles are welcome.
  • Should not exceed eight journal pages or 8000 words in length.

Once your article has been accepted as a Fast Track Communication it will benefit from accelerated publication (average time to online web publication is 20 days).

When submitting your Fast Track Communication for publication please provide a written justification to the Editors explaining why your article meets our stringent quality and novelty criteria. Information on how to read, write for or subscribe to the journal can be found on the journal home page or you can e-mail the journal publishing team at jphysa@iop.org.
