Show affiliationsThis work describes EXAFS (extended X-ray absorption fine structure), XANES (X-ray absorption near edge structure) investigation into inclusion compounds of Cu(II) complexes: Cu(acac)2; [Cu(en)2(H2O)2]2+; [Cu(cyclam)]2+ in macrocyclic cavitand cucurbit[8]uril at different stages of preparation and heat treatment in hydrogen atmosphere. The structure and composition of the nearest environment of copper atoms have been characterized; the interatomic distances and coordination numbers have been determined.
