Table 1. Basic networks statistics and comparable undirected networks. n is the number of nodes in the network, M is the number of undirected edges, z is the average degree per node, \overline {\ell } is the average shortest path between any two nodes, C1 and C2 are two measures for the clustering coefficient. r is the degree correlation coefficient and α is the power law scaling exponent. All comparable numbers are from [10] except the jazz musicians [13] and Brazilian popular music [18]. Original papers for actors are [19, 20] and company directors are [21, 22].
