Show affiliationsWe numerically and theoretically investigate light propagation inside photonic crystal (PC) waveguides. Cross waveguides inserted inside a biperiodic two-dimensional PC allow the guiding of light along a 90° bend with no reflection. These results are interpreted by means of the resonances of this new optical device.
