Show affiliationsNi–SiO2 and Co–SiO2 nanocomposites were prepared by the reduction of NiCl2- and CoCl2-containing SiO2 gels under non-isothermal conditions. The effect of heating rate, temperature and metal chloride concentration were assessed using statistically planned experimental designs.
