Final states with π and η for determining α

Amol S Dighe

Show affiliations

We discuss the measurement of the CKM phase α through B decays with π and η mesons in the final states. We review the conventional 2π and 3π modes, and examine additional modes with η in the final state. In particular, we study the isospin analysis and the Dalitz plot analysis of the decay modes Ba0π and B→ρπ, and discuss the relative merits of these modes in the determination of α.
