Show affiliationsTwo-electron systems consisting of two laterally or vertically coupled quantum dots (QDs) are considered. Their behaviour in external magnetic field is studied. Ground state energies and energy spectra were obtained taking into account interelectron interaction for a wide range of values of confining potential steepness (α), distance between QDs (d), and external magnetic field (B). The spontaneous magnetization and the singlet–triplet transformation of the QD molecule ground state controlled by the magnetic field are studied.
