Non-ideality limit of ultracold laser plasma

I V Krasnov and A P Gavrilyuk

Show affiliations

Ultracold electron–ion plasma created and controlled by Doppler laser cooling of plasma ions with quantum transition resonant with respect to the laser radiation is considered. The existence of the global maximum (fundamental upper limit) of ionic non-ideality parameter of such plasma determined by electron temperature and quantum transition parameters is shown.
