A method of determining the asymptotic normalization coefficients (ANC) of atomic wavefunctions is suggested. The method is based on the analytic approximation of (e, 2e) reaction data with the subsequent continuation of these data to the point of the pole singularity of the (e, 2e) cross section in momentum transfer. As an illustration the ANC for the K electron of a Cu atom was obtained from (e, 2e) data at 500 keV. The conditions of the successful application of the suggested method are discussed.
