Strong field effects in above-threshold detachment of a model negative ion

G Yao and Shih-I Chu

Show affiliations

A one-dimensional delta-function potential model is employed and its corresponding time-dependent Schrodinger equation is solved exactly in momentum representation. Several strong field effects of above-threshold detachment of a model H- ion are explored, including an interesting temporal leakage in the below-shifted-threshold regime, nonlinear dynamics of the system, and high-order harmonic generation, as well as the intensity effect of a second low-frequency laser field.
