Positron-hydrogen scattering at intermediate energies using the close-coupling approximation

Show affiliations

Two expansion schemes: (a) H(1s), H(2s), H(2p), Ps(1s) and (b) H(1s), H(2s), H(2p), Ps(1s) are employed to investigate e+-H scattering using the close-coupling approximation at intermediate energies. Results for elastic, 1s-2s and 1s-2p excitation processes are reported in the energy range 54.4-200 eV. The angular correlation parameters lambda , R and I are also calculated. Results are compared with elaborate theoretical predictions. The effects of the capture channel are found to influence the scattering parameters.
