A low inductance spark gap

D G Fearn and E R Wooding

Show affiliations

NOTES ON EXPERIMENTAL TECHNIQUE AND APPARATUS

The switch described may be inserted into a strip transmission line. Under the conditions investigated, it has an inductance of 10 nH and a resistance of 14 mω. Low jitter triggering is achieved with a 40 kv pulse rising in about 50 nsec.
