A high luminosity spectrograph for recording the far ultra-violet spectra of aurora

Show affiliations

A high luminosity spectrograph using an inverse Wadsworth mounting has been constructed for recording auroral spectra in the far ultra-violet. Two versions have been developed, the first with a demagnification of two appears to be suitable for photoelectric recording whilst one with a demagnification of four seems better for photographic recording. In both cases the main aberrations have been eliminated.
