NOTES ON EXPERIMENTAL TECHNIQUE AND APPARATUS

A simple pulse current transformer can give more faithful pulse reproduction and avoid the problems inherent in the conventional series-resistance circuit to measure magnetron pulse current. The design equations for such a transformer are given and a practical unit to measure 6-10 A pulses of 0.05-2 μsec duration in a 15 kv magnetron pulser is described.
