A crystal-photomultiplier gamma counter for hospital use

A large versatile gamma counter has been built which has given satisfactory service for one and a half years. It has a high efficiency, about 20% at 1.2 MeV. It has been used for hospital measurements on patients with radioactive contamination, on biological samples and on experimental animals.
