On the diffusion theory of the low-voltage arc plasma

The thermo-diffusion term in the particle flux equations is considered according to the experimental data, which show a large variation of the electron temperature across the low-voltage arc plasma. For the case of an infinite plane parallel plasma and a constant electric field the electron diffusion coefficient at the cathode edge is estimated and it is compared with the classical theoretical expression.
