Thermoelectric power of sapphire single crystals

S Dasgupta and J Hart

Show affiliations

RESEARCH NOTES

The thermoelectric powers of sapphire single crystals have been measured under different pressures of air and argon atmosphere in the temperature range 600°K to 1100°K. The results at different pressures show changes in the values of thermoelectric power which are irreversible in some samples. High values of thermoelectric power were observed in some samples at relatively low temperatures.
