Show affiliationsIn this paper it is shown that, under certain assumptions about the metric of the space-time, energy momentum tensor of the total field, when Einstein's field equations are satisfied, vanishes identically.
A new version of the unified field theory is suggested, and it is indicated briefly that a genuine energy momentum tensor exists which is conserved and has a structure similar to that of general relativity.
From the form of the energy momentum tensor and from the field equations of the proposed theory it is concluded that the law of force for a charged mass particle moving in a gravitational and electromagnetic field would have the expected form.
