Ceramics in modern engineering

R Morrell

Show affiliations

Modern ceramics offer a wide range of mechanical, thermal and chemical properties with applications from internal combustion engines to artificial teeth. Further progress will follow as the behaviour of ceramics is better understood - but national funding is vital to achieve this.
