Abstract
For pt.I see ibid., vol.12, p.1345 (1982). The anelastic effects of random cooperative strain interactions between interstitials in a BCC metal are studied. The randomness may arise if, for instance, the interstitial-metal system is quenched rapidly from a higher to a lower temperature. An explicit expression for the compliance is given for a model disordered system which characterises non-Debye relaxation.
