Show affiliationsTen conserved quantities corresponding to the symmetry of the composite system of point-like charged particle and electromagnetic field under the Poincaré group are expressed in terms of particle variables. It is shown that the Lorentz–Dirac equation contradicts the differential consequence of the 'centre-of-mass' conserved quantity which arises from the invariance of the system under Lorentz transformation.
