Show affiliationsWe obtain the bilinear form of the supersymmetric sine-Gordon equation. Through the Hirota approach we contruct multisoliton solutions for this equation. We find that, in contrast to the purely bosonic case, the solitons are `dressed' through their mutual interaction and we compute this dressing explicitly. Using the Ablowitz, Ramani and Segur algorithm we verify that the supersymmetric sine-Gordon equation possesses the Painlevé property.
