Scope

Frequency: 12 issues per year.

Devoted exclusively to semiconductor research and applications, this journal's multidisciplinary approach reflects the far-reaching nature of this topic. Semiconductor Science and Technology publishes research papers, fast track communications, topical review articles and special issues.

The scope of the journal covers:

Applied or explicitly applicable experimental and theoretical studies of the properties of semiconductors and their interfaces, devices and packaging, including:

  • electrical properties
  • optical properties
  • device design
  • device fabrication
  • materials processing
  • materials and device analysis
  • process monitoring
  • reliability

Research Papers. Reports of original research work, not normally more than 8500 words (10 journal pages).

Fast Track Communications. Brief, urgent communications of no more than 3500 words (4 journal pages) that require rapid publication. These are to be submitted alongside a short letter of justification explaining why the manuscript requires accelerated consideration.

Topical Reviews. Topical reviews present a snapshot of recent progress in a particular field. Written by leading researchers in their respective fields, these articles present the background to a particular field and the current state of the art. Topical reviews are normally commissioned by the Editorial Board.
