Show affiliationsThe aim of this paper is to present a general approach to derive inversion formulae for 3D cone beam tomography. Starting from the approximate inverse we derive reconstruction kernels using the symmetries of the scanning geometry to derive fast algorithms. Reconstructions from real data show the ability of the method to produce reliable images where the data noise is reduced as much as possible.
