High-temperature expansion in the adiabatic approximation

COMMENT

Massive scalar fields are considered in slowly time-varying background fields of Robertson-Walker type. Using zeta function regularization and heat-kernel techniques, a high-temperature expansion of the 1-loop effective action is calculated up to second order in the adiabatic approximation.
