Extra gauge field structure uncovered in the Kaluza-Klein framework

In a standard Kaluza-Klein framework, M4*CP2 allows the classical unified description of an SU(3) gauge field with gravity. However, the possibility of an additional SU(2)*U(1) gauge field structure is uncovered. The construction involves a properly modified 'gravitoweak connection' and supplies a mechanism analogous but not redundant to the Kaluza ansatz, with the additional gauge field subject to severe restrictions. As a result, M4*CP2 could conceivably accommodate the classical limit of a fully unified theory for the fundamental interactions and matter fields.
